SENTRIES has definitely gone through an insane amount of musical maturity since last year's Snow As A Metaphor for Death. Kim has clearly massive improved their songwriting skills and especially their playing, because the performances on this album are really fuckin tight. Haven't delved too deep into the lyrical contents but judging from what I've heard throughout the album, Kim is now also a much better lyric writer which I am very glad to see!

A little bit of a dud in their extremely consistent discography. But the Bateman brothers still manage to make a fun and comfortable sounding indie folk album. Hoping for the newer material to be just as good or even better than this album!
A transformative experience that describes the feeling of moving on from your past and the metaphorical drive to your current self. This is a road filled with thoughts of self loathing, regret, societal commentary, loneliness and hope at certain points.
