I just don't really get (read: don't like) this kind of music that people describe as "abusive", "unsettling", "sickening", etc. as if that's a GOOD thing? Really?
Easily the *second* best album released this week. (Rapsody's Eve was even better!)
Started so strong with No Halo (love this track!) but only went downhill from there. SAD.
It's very pop. My rating would be a 40, but that's really only because of my taste rather than the quality of the record, so I'll just leave it unrated.
I really like the music, and the screaming is okay for about 20 seconds.... but it becomes difficult to listen to after any longer than that.
Boring voice, boring music. I guess it has some artistic merit but I don't see myself ever listening to it again.
Anyone with even a passing interest in the history of modern music should listen to this record.
For some reason I found the lyrics of the last track super cheesy!
"Everything was easier before
Take me back
Before I knew of artificial roses"
I had to turn off the song halfway through.
There's nothing wrong with it, but I can't imagine I will ever in my life listen to this again.
THIS IS A REALLY GOOD ALBUM BUT LOSES ONE POINT FOR FOLLOWING THE HORRIBLE ALL-CAPS TREND
Just not my thing tbh. Saw the "pop-soul" tag but this is much more pop than soul.
