An absolute classic at this point, Q put so much quality and effort into this album, the production is there, it is murky, and has its own kind of swagger, in an age where gangster rap began to become watered down and lost some of its quality, Q stuck a flagpole in the ground and tried to save the declining genre, and he absolutely succeeded. Qi’s swagger and bars never cease to amaze.
By Storm absolutely kills it here, great to get a project as good as this in the big 26, The raw emotion that is found across the album and the deep pain from the loss of Stepa J, all of the emotion crafts a project that is deeply moving and may even make you cry.
JID, this will be with me forever, the stories are amazing and the rapping is so emotional, thank you JID. ( idk what this review is)
At this point, Kendrick has achieved so much with his past 3 albums it’s really nice to see he still maintains his usual drive we don’t see from many other artists. Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers was delivered after not releasing a project since his 2018 albums for Black Panther, MMatBS does not disappoint, the production is more evolved to more of the 2020’s, and a certain maturity is detectable across the entire project that hasn’t really been shown in previous ... read more
This is an insane album, everything is blended well, mostly, spotlight tracks such as Everlast’s “Shook Ones Pt.2,” Incubus and the Big Pun and Incubus’ “Still Not a Player”, lots of other tracks stand out, but those are 2 of my personal favorites, some collaborations just don’t work, but for the most part, Loud Rocks is a solid attempt at making a rock rap compilation album.
It’s so grungey and rockstar, but at the same time it is not, the only way I can define their sound is just ‘Incubus’, they had one of the most unforgettable and unique sounds in rock. Truly incredible.
The epitome of classic, this might transport straight back to the 70’s, some side effects of this are that you might leave with unc status.
This so called “EP” by Isaiah Rashad is one of the best pieces of music from the 2010’s, it’s uplifting and spiritual vibe will make you have this nice, calm feeling in your body when you listen to it, idk that’s just how I felt. Anyway Rashad opening up about the struggles he’s dealt with in his life and the problems like drugs and stuff build a feeling of honesty and sincerity that will comfort the listener.
Easily a top 5 Rocky song, the beat goes hard, it’s soulful, smooth and compliments Rocky so well. This allows Rocky to grab the beat by the testes and absolutely go ham, with a smooth and almost eerie feature from Jessica Pratt.
Thundercat does good, but definitely not his best, the electronics and jazz and bass are all great, but compared to other Thundercat stuff like Drunk? No. This project is still a great piece of work anyone would want to add to their discography.
Remarkably still holds up just as strong to this day, some of my favorite songs ever are on this, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the album is bad, the entire album is an overall fun and enjoyable listen for anyone looking into old school hip-hop. When I saw 20 tracks, I thought this would incredibly bloated, but like Stankonia, every track is quality and builds the album, not take away from it.The introspective lyrics Guru delivers, Premier gives out some of the best beats, EVER. A standout collab album, (probably because the colors are so vibrant) Mos Def and Talib Kweli are a recipe for success, great production, and great lyrical performances make me wanna give this a 92.
A fantastic R&B project, although it is very dated, it holds up over 40 years.
Kendrick blends the hard life of his Compton upbringing into melodic Dre beats that will have you either tearing up or floating somewhere in the stratosphere. Kendrick doesn’t know one thing, and that is how to make a bad album.
Bam-Boom-Pow. That’s all I got, what a phenomenal album.
Every song puts a bit of happiness into my soul, and listening to it all the way through can turn your worst day into your best, a truly remarkable piece of music.
Marvin Gaye is a pioneering musical mastermind, a true artist and one of the most influential figures in music, period.
Easily Denzel’s best project, the consistency is amazing, the flows, production, bars, and overall quality of the album elevates this wonderful LP into contention for best album of 2020’s.
Is this Cole’s best project? Not sure, but it certainly is an amazing piece of work from the 2010’s, great production and flows from Cole, an overall smooth project.
