One thing I find interesting about Have a Nice Life/Giles Corey is the universe that Dan Barret has created around his music. The booklets that come with Deathconciousness and Giles Corey illustrate lore around the music, even connecting with a note on the interior of the Deathconciousness vinyl written by Robert Voor, the subject of the Giles Corey Vinyl. CSH returns to their synthy sound present on How To Leave Town, which I couldn't say was completely unexpected. It's probably in their best interest to switch their sound after the last few albums have been so successful, though I wouldn't say I like this sound better. The songs are hit or miss, being either really boring or really good. I can't hate on any artist too much if they're trying something new, but I don't think it really works here. I love rating albums like these so I can give attention to the small indie bands I know!!! Someday Mr styles will get the recognition he deserves!!!

Most of the songs on this album were decent to good, but every time a song played the image of a car commercial got stuck in my head. it's like it was made solely for the purpose of scoring Ford commercials.
