Absolutely fabulous. This record absolutely crushed me and made me feel vulnerable. Taylor just has a way with words, and she really didn't fail us on this project. Lyrically, I'm ready to go as to say this album is flawless. Genuinely amazing storytelling and just well oriented lyrics. One thing I have to appreciate about this album is that nothing can take away from the song writing, no matter how good the singing is or the production is, it's still Taylor. Production wise, this was no huge ... read more
Expected to hate this, didn't hate it. While it's nothing boundary pushing, nothing new and interesting, it's still got some sassy charm to it. I don't know much about the group itself but for being the biggest girl group, it feels to me as if they actually are trying something here. My biggest complaint is production which falls flat on most of the songs for me. I will say though I was really impressed with the lyrics on The Happiest Girl even if it wasn't the most enjoyable track on the ... read more
I can list everything I think is cool about this album, though it won't be very long... Interesting lyrical topics some being relatable in general or some more personal connection and decent production ideas. Otherwise uhhhhh, some of the vocals on this thing are genuinely intolerable. A lot of these songs get ruined by just the vocals, it's not even that they're half baked, they're just not good. There is just so much love and so much hate from me coming from this album I can't really say too ... read more
I didn't go into this album with very high expectations, but I would be lying if I didn't end up enjoying this. It's starts off reallllly strongly with an amazing 4 track run, interesting lyrics about partying and love, especially on the song Eleanor. Otherwise there is so many cool production ideas on this thing, sadly the middle run of the album doesn't incorporate them well, nor do they incorporate interesting vocals and good lyrics. Generally speaking though this album is front loaded and ... read more
Woahhh this is so fresh and cool. Really reminds me of Bill Wurtz at times, especially on U DON'T HAVE TO ROB ME, in the best way possible. On the first half of this album I was not too impressed by the features but damn the Anderson .Paak, Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes performances were actually amazing. I really adore JD Beck's drums and this album is no exception to that. Sometimes DOMi's keyboarding is off however I do think that it's charming, especially on tracks like DUKE and SMiLE. Kinda ... read more
This album is just quite mediocre, with a little bit going for it here and there. It just sounds so bland and somewhat derivative, yet it's simplicity kind of gets to me. I can appreciate the very digital texture it gives off and I'd say the standouts of this album would appear around the middle of the project.
Why did Joe Rogan make the cut... I'm honestly a bit let down by this album. It's not bad whatsoever, just really unmemorable and a lot weaker than usual. While he does bring in some great bars, he also brings in some actually awful IceJJFish sounding vocals (I'm mostly targetting this criticism to Pain & Strife, but overall the vocal delivery wasn't for me). Production wise this record is so hit or miss for me, some of the instrumentals are luxurious and so very smooth, and some just sound ... read more
I was going into this expecting like a touch of improvement from s/t but damn, I liked this way more than I anticipated. I don't know what sets this one apart from some of her other stuff. I mean it definitly helps that it has not outrightly bad songs on it. just some meh tracks here and there. And the quality for the most part is consistent. Decent guitar all over, not always mind blowing but its definitly a good touch to every song. The writing isn't as intricate as some of her later works ... read more
Taylor Swift. Uhhhhhh Taylor Swift, Taylor Sweift. This album was a bit of a Slog for me. I've grown a bit more fond of country over time and this album was just not it. It's just really nothing special to me even if it isn't offensively bad nor is it too offensively yee-haw. It's still an impressive album for a 15-16 year old to mostly write solo, but that doesn't make it good by any means. The writing is consistently decent but it doesn't stand it's ground to most of Taylor's later work. It ... read more

*This is Stingray music, life's on you, music is on us...* No but seriously how did she go from Sawayama to this. The sound of this is so derivative of many of her contemporaries, but also the radio. This album sounds so lifeless and uninspired, even if she had ideas, they just fell flat for me. As far as production goes, I found it to be decent, but not with Rina on it. Hurts to say but the sound she's going for isn't appealing nor is it for her. All in all really disappointing for me, even ... read more
I've set this to the side for a while since I had listened to a bit of one of a different Ghost record that I hadn't didn't have time to finish but never came back to it because I just didn't really like it. But my cousin has been bugging me to give them another chance, especially since I'm going to see them live with him and I am so impressed. While I don't think I could consider this metal even if a lot of people seem to, this is some of the best hard rock I've heard to date. An album talking ... read more
There is a lot of improvement from Speak Now to Red and it shows not only in the songwriting, but the maturity, the production choices and the conceptuality. Though this album does have its flaws; a few tracks have really messy structure, Stay Stay Stay has to be the corniest Taylor song I have ever heard. But otherwise, the songwriting which is something I already loved from Speak Now, feel so much more complete, heartbreaking, memorable and relateable. Not to mention the drastic vocal ... read more
Honestly this album kicked off so strongly... It just didn't stay that consistent for me unfortunately. I am having trouble to write down my thoughts because this album just through me a bit all over the place with it's hits and misses. Out of all Taylor albums this is probably my least favorite conceptually. It just feels like it's a bit all over the place, even if it is meant to be like that I don't particularly enjoy it. This album does have some phenomal songs though and sure is a huge ... read more
Okay so I didn't have very high expectations going into this, but this is a lot less good than I could possibly imagine. The first have was genuinely just boring and had nothing new, nothing interesting and especially nothing good to offer. I usually love Taylor's song-writing ability and how she showcases it on her other records. But no, this just feels like a blunder... Production wise this has a few decent ideas but I wouldn't say anything too out of this world, and nothing that brings the ... read more
Okay so finally got around to giving this album a shot and... while I do totally get the praise it's getting, I cannot find myself enjoying it as much as I'd like too. It is by no means bad and I'd like to say it has really strong strongs, but the album just didn't meet the expectation I had for it. The production on this thing is both the blessing and the curse. Most of the tracks just sound so awkward to me and I just can't with some of the alvin the chipmunk sounding samples. Otherwise I ... read more
Gosh I feel like I'll be made fun of for enjoying this so much. Ado is by far one of Japan's newest and biggest artists out there, recently being the first japanese artist to set the top 5 of the japanese billboards of all songs from one album. While public attention isn't everything she's looking for as she continues to not reveal her face, she's definitely rocking it. She talks about how she feels about love, her ironic loneliness and also optimism which is the reason she goes by the name ... read more
This album really is a hit or miss for me. However I do feel like the hits, in which there are plenty, outweigh the misses. Taylor talks a lot about her relationships not only with lovers, but with social media, which with no surprise isn't a very positive one. The synthy production makes for some of Taylor's best songs, but also worst songs. Overall though, this album's 80's vibe just shows how Taylor's not afraid to step out of her comfort zone and I can only respect that.

I cannot give this a proper score as an album anymore. I had it at a 9.5 for a while but it just feels disproportionate since I associate the soundtrack to the film and the film is what makes this shine. Without the film it's not bad, but not up to par as to what I had it rated. Don't get me wrong I still love this to death.
