Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk

This is decent! Clearly I don't think its good as everyone says but yeah I like it. Instrumentals are like pretty much amazing all the way through but honestly my main issue was the vocals, not really a big fan of her voice. Also bro the songs just REALLY start to blend together so bad after a bit to the point where like even if a song is good it just sounds like the one that came before it AND the one that's about to come after so like.... idk. But yeah, not a bad album by any means, ... read more

Really nice listen! I like the way you could basically loop it forever lmao, it's just nice as background music. With 4 songs there isn't really much room for error, and I don' the the middle two QUITE live up to that standard, but they're still super solid. The EP truly shines in Quasar and Singularity. AMAZING songs that really carry this thing through. It's (barely) really good!

Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks

Really decent album! it's like consistently decent, with only one song that really stood out to me. which was Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts. Everything else was just like pretty decent music that I'm definitely happy to listen to but I'd literally never put it on consciously. Actually I also didn't really like Idiot Wind, I honestly cannot stand his vocal inflection on it LMAO, it's such a small criticism but it's so annoying dude. But yeah really decent!

I LOVE TRANCE!!!! Catchy melodies, pounding bass, just pure chaos, and it sounds amazing to my ears. Yeah this album is amazing. Using vocals well is like a reoccurring theme in #ff85f7's music, and it started here with Espeonfan22. I don't know if it's a vocaloid or just some sample but it MAKES the song dude, this entire album is just full of really pretty sounding elements

Madvillain - Madvillainy

Wow am I disappointed. I mean its FINE... but #8 of all time??? What??? Like I don't have a negative impression of this album but it's BARELY positive. The instrumentals especially, going song for song there's definitely more bad than good. Even when they're good they're not exactly blowing me away, which is honestly kinda what I expected here. The tracklist is just not good, with random instrumentals and skits that miss the mark almost every single time, just makes for ... read more

Really nice album. It didn't blow me away by any means but it's just consistent good quality music and I think the only track I truly didn't like was the last one. Also it's VERY long and I don't think I really want to listen to THAT much soul music, but yeah it's really nice, definitely uplifts your soul.

I could see this growing on me if I ever come back, but it's a time demanding listen lmao so we'll see. I think most people would like this more than ... read more

Radiohead - In Rainbows

Thom Yorke's vocals really aren't doing it for me to be honest dude. SO, he has to be carried by the instrumentals. Which to be fair, are really good a lot of the time, but on some songs like Nude, they just can't save the sound of his whining, I really amn't a fan of it bro idk why. The slow songs just don't work for me for this exact reason. When the focus is put into the amazing instrumentals it's great but otherwise, it's just not that enjoyable tbh ... read more

I will defend this album until I die. I do understand why most people dont like but idc this is genuinely really gooodddd!!! The only song I could honestly leave or take is Candyman, I don't care for it but otherwise the production and ideas presented here REALLY work in my opinion, I just really love his style bro. His voice is of course amazing, I honestly have no idea if his breathy vocals are liked or nor but I LOVE them so... Bandit especially man HOLY SHIT is it so good, sometimes I ... read more

This is like noticeably worse than the first one, but like that kinda makes sense. I have a feeling that this was only released to coincide with all the other "All Eyes On..." albums releasing, because it features more remixes and songs I suspect to be throwaways from probably the original album. Every few minutes there's a little shadow of what could have been, but overall it doesn't come together to form anything that blows me away. Still gets a good score even though I ... read more

Honestly just my type of music. Upbeat, good vibes progressive house. Some of these melodies are just amazing, and the drums are great too. Everything feels so well produced and it just leads to a really clean sounding album that's really easy to immerse yourself in. It's absolutely amazing!

Standouts: Lick The Rainbow, We Are Now Connected, Gold - Mord Fustang Remix, A New World

Mord Fustang - RED DATA

Really nice little EP. It has a consistent theme, while staying interesting and varied enough throughout. The songs kinda do one thing for their entire runtime, which is fine because they're short, but if you don't like the first 20 seconds of a song you probably won't like the rest of it so. Still though, songs are short, they try interesting ideas, if a bit derivative of other artists doing the same kinda stuff. It's futuristic, it's cool, it's a vibe. Check it ... read more

Floating Points - Cascade

Ohhh I just KNOW I'm gonna be looping this for a while.

Cascade is an extremely interesting album, right off the bat. To me, instrumental albums, especially EDM ones, always just have this certain mystery to them at HOW the artist is going to make the instrumentals interesting and stand well on their own. It's very easy for it to fall into background music, and I feel like every producer has their touch that just reels you in.

For Floating Points, at least on this album, it's ... read more

Genuinely really like this. It probably has a good bit to do with the fact that I recognise all of the sampled songs and stuff cus they're songs that are popular in the GD community and stuff but like the way he uses them is genuinely really interesting and cool. These songs just sound good, idk what to tell you. There're a few that have not enough going on, but like most of the mare really good. I also really enjoyed the way he used the chipmunk-y vocal samples(?), it works ... read more

Not much to say other than this album is underrated! I VERY slightly prefer it to Cross honestly, the vocals are just SO much better and way better used. Overall just a consistently pretty damn great album!

The Dare - What's Wrong With New York?

I looove slop! Nah I'm messing around but this clearly has like zero depth or anything to it really. That's like fine if the music sounded really good but idk it kinda just doesn't really Lol! I thought I'd like this but like going past the second track literally everything started to sound the same, or even worse, like absolute shit.

I think I genuinely wanted to cave this man's skull in when I was listening to Girls holy SHIT id that song so bad. Shit production, ... read more

Los Tres - Los Tres

Big fan of this album. The instrumentals are so groovy and honestly the best way I can describe them is entertaining. If you're listening to this in the background you'll probably find yourself subconsciously moving along to the baselines just cus of how infectious they are. Vocals and delivery are great too, I'm just a really big fan of everything about this album sonically. Probably my only criticism would be the songs tending to blend together a bit, but even that's a bit ... read more

BROCKHAMPTON - iridescence

This is like the strangest listening experience ever because I LIKE every song here, but I don't think I love any of them. Like it's consistently great but there're just no standouts. Yeah like WEIGHT and TONYA are really good but they're just not at THAT level right? I'm gonna try not to sound negative cus I genuinely do really like this album but it's just a strange experience to have basically nothing stand out. ANYWAYS though, these beats especially are really ... read more

Freddy Fargo - FABRIC

A collection of 9 genuinely amazing instrumentals. It's crazy how accurate the names are, they really do have a sort of soft, fabric-like texture to them. cherry is SO good, like the jingling on it, and the guitars, just a crazy vibe here. I like the way they're kept short, none of the ideas are stretched out too long, but looped just enough to let them sink in. It's just a really nice collection of fleshed out ideas, that are very pleasing on the ears. Ir's really ... read more

Clairo - Charm

Ok idk who Leon Michels is but he was COOKING on this album bro. The instrumentals on this are so soothing are nice, and also really really good. They're so like detailed and you can tell there was a lot of effort put in by both of them to choose and assemble the right instruments, of which there is a LOT of. There's just so many little things happening, even in the slower paced songs like Pier 4 and it just makes for a really nice listening experience.

All that is without even ... read more
