I met Soupy at Warped Tour like 2 months before this album came out and fangirled to him about how The Greatest Generation was (at the time) my favorite album of all time and thanked him for making it. Upon hearing that, his face grew the biggest, brightest smile imaginable and said to me "I'll tell you what: September 4th, we're gonna top it."
When this album came out, I firmly believed it was the greatest album ever made. It was emotionally poignant and profound, without any of the ... read more
I first heard this album probably like 5 or so years ago(?) back when I was getting really into heavier music through bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan and Converge. I found it on bandcamp one night at like 3 a.m. and was blown away by the sheer intensity and aggression found within. Somehow, I managed to forget the name of the band and for YEARS I've been wondering what album it was that I was so in awe of that night. And now, I finally fucking found it. All by chance, from some 169 hour ... read more
On this release, For Your Health continues their ongoing upward trajectory through the creation of a breathtaking work of art packed with a surprising amount of dynamic and stylistic range that make it incredibly difficult NOT to find yourself emotionally invested in and enamored by throughout the record's entire seventeen minutes of beautifully crafted frenzied passion.

I don't have much to say as, despite being a songwriter myself, I tend to have difficulty articulating my thoughts on other people's art. What I can say is that this album is fantastic and I can't imagine another record topping it as album of the year, at least not for a while. It contains everything that makes post-punk so great to begin with, while adding their own unique flair to the genre.
I don't even like Falling In Reverse but this is actually really well-executed. Reminds me of being 12 years old and hearing them for the first time thinking "wow this is great". Now it's more like "wow this... decent I guess". It's not perfect (the ending in particular is kind of forced and there's no real reason for this to be almost 6 minutes) but it's an enjoyably stripped down rendition of a cringecore classic
Is it generic? Sure, a little. But gosh darn it, it's the hecking comfortingest thing I could have heard after some of the most overwhelming work days I've had in a while. We'll see how this ages in even a few months, but as of today this is one of Weezer's finest half-hours to date
Maybe it's not as good as Street Worms, but this is still a fantastic follow-up that deserves all the praise it can get
Not necessarily anything innovative by any means, but it's one hell of a death metal album
Generic, bland pop punk with a couple cool songs. This album works best when the sound is more dirty rather than just standard pop punk
Favorites: Doom Boy, Ride or Die, Hang Yer Moon, Damage Control

It's hard to justify a higher score being that it's a cover album that mostly stays pretty close to the original source material. That being said, I fucking love this album. 70 is the lowest score I'm willing to give this
A late-career gem filled with all the energy and fun, catchy melodies that made their early output so exciting. The CJ songs are definitely the weakest on here, but aside from that there really isn't a bad track - even if some of it is totally recycled from past hits ("Touring")
It's very hard to listen to Pantera now because of, yknow, Phil being an insufferable douche. That being said, there's no denying how immensely important they were to the development of heavy music, and honestly how impressive their collective songwriting chops were. Alongside that, the infinite wellspring of riffs on riffs on riffs make this album go from being just pretty good like Cowboys From Hell (the weakest of their 5 main albums) to being among the better metal records released during ... read more
I know I'm not supposed to like this album, but I'm having so much fun listening to it that any of its shortcomings really don't matter all that much to me. Maybe that makes me easy to please or a little dumb but I'm okay with that.
Holy shit. They really did pull everything that really worked on every record up to this point and make what is quite possibly the most enjoyable record Weezer has EVER made
Consistently fantastically beautiful in all its quirky weirdness. She really has a way with words, making even the most ridiculous phrases sound poetic.
