Really mad at myself for not hearing this when it came out originally (I was 10 months old then)

More like 9-3 Punx. Also if you make it to United States of Evil, your headphones aren't broken.

ian - Valedictorian

If this is the Valedictorian, this better be a class of 1. Maybe instead you should've started again Billy Madison style and paid extra attention in elementary school when they teach you how to rhyme and count so you could properly rap and stay on the beat. Also, of all the people you mentioned in your freestyle, I think it's safe to say on this project it should be "Damn I'm on my Carti shit, but it fucking sucks"

Chance the Rapper - The Big Day

I have never wished for an album to just be over more than here. To be clear, it's not just because it's over an hour (I've listened to Songs in the Key of Life for Pete's sake). But here, yes it's been memed to absolute death and it's extra ironic because they're divorced, but how many songs do you need to write about your wife? And what it makes it even more frustrating is some of the songs about his relationship and wife make up the better songs on the ... read more

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
95

Well, what a nice birthday present. Pusha and Malice are back and taking off like they never stopped (especially Malice). The incredibly tight rhymes and wordplay that defined Clipse is omnipresent here with their trademark brand of sophisticated drug bars and lavish lifestyle brags. Pharell does some really amazing work on the beats here that give Clipse a lot to work with for their bars and are overall glorious sounding in their own right. There are also some really great features from ... read more

Pusha T - It's Almost Dry

A lot of cool production here by both Kanye and Pharrell as well as some really good songs like "Dreamin' of the Past" and "Diet Coke". The second half is a bit of a downgrade, especially underwhelming songs like "Rock N Roll", "Call My Bluff" and "Scrape It Off". Pusha has great flows throughout, but some of the features fall flat. It's a fitting album name because it feels like it needed some more time to reach bigger heights, but ... read more

Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked at Me

I don't know if I have anything in me to look at an album this raw and vulnerable and rooted in real genuine grief and criticize it. Other people may be stronger than I, and if that's you then you are more than valid to do so. As someone who just got married and also someone with clinical depression, this hurts. Like, really hurts. Going to hug my wife tighter tonight.

Slipknot - All Out Life

A sign of a great album to come and a great track in its own right. Must have been very reassuring to hear this after The Grey Chapter.

Slipknot - The End, So Far

Whoops, never mind. I guess we're not back. I guess in fact we're sounding the worst we ever have instead (even after going from Corey's worst mask to one of his best). Finishing We Are Not Your Kind and starting this album with "Adderall" feels like pulling a beautiful sports car out of the garage and as soon as you press the gas to go the front axle breaks off. As a band renowned for all 3 of their drummers, hearing a generic rock hi-hat, kick and ... read more

Slipknot - We Are Not Your Kind

Oh we are so back. After the alright but misguided .5 The Gray Chapter, Slipknot is back with another truly good album. There's some really heavy hitters here like "Unsainted", "Critical Darling", and "Nero Forte" feel like the band picks right back up after All Hope Is Gone and returns to their classic, heavier sound but with a bit of a new twist for the new project. Everyone in the band does really great work here and both the ... read more

Slipknot - .5: The Gray Chapter

And here we are, the first slipknot album without the beloved Joey Jordison and following the death of the great Paul Grey. No disrespect directed towards Jay Weinberg, who is a great drummer credited with great consistency in his playing (I haven't heard enough of V-Man's basslines to get a proper opinion). I also must say, unfortunately, we are at our first Slipknot I would overall consider a miss. There are some songs on here, mainly "The Devil in I", "Custer" ... read more

Good fucking lord. Comedy songs that aren't funny remain one of the worst kinds of music out there and oh my god was I not even close to smiling the whole duration of this dreck. Credit to Liam Donovan's video for uncovering this mess.

Edit: This is significantly better than the album. Stick to the scraps. (New Rating 60)

If this is the scraps left on the cutting board, I am greatly looking forward to sitting down for the full meal. As a self sustained entity, it's good but I'm not sure I would go back to it once the real album drops. I will always be grateful for more JID and as something to build hype, I would consider a success. Between JID and Ethel Cain dropping on the same day, August 8th can't come ... read more

Logic - Supermarket

I'm listening to both Supermarket and Confessions before I decide which one is worse and I'll write both reviews then. So where does this one stand between the two? It's the better one. Don't get me wrong, it's not good, but it's the lesser of the two evils. This album doesn't have a track as good as the title track on Confessions but it absolutely does not reach the depths of "Bobby" or "Icy" or "Don't be Afraid to be ... read more

I'm listening to both Supermarket and Confessions before I decide which one is worse and I'll write both reviews then. So where does this one stand between the two? It's the worse one. Firstly the good tracks. The title track opener is quite good, "Homicide" and the closer are alright. Everything else? Oh boy. You really don't have to make so many tracks about hate comments Logic. Like one is fine. But no, it comes up over and over and over again, along with maybe ... read more

G-Eazy - Freak Show

"Inside of me there are two wolves. One is a mediocre white rapper with the most "Rap Name Generator" rap name who gets outshined by every feature he's ever had (even here which considering the feature list is almost impressive. The other is a discord mod who posts Heath Ledger Joker and AHS Evan Peters memes and has a Discord Kitten that enables my Daddy kink." Also I think we all Doechii an apology because THIS is the worst "Anxiety" song. Also the few ... read more

David Bowie - Lazarus

A beautiful testament to the life, efforts and image of David Bowie. Everything here pays their respects to an absolute legend. I came here after relistening to the G-Eazy version and that makes this version feel even more powerful and epic and well constructed and the other version even more ass.

"@Ezra3747 "No hate but that's honestly disgusting" is a bit contradictory. I knew this wouldn't be a popular opinion but I'm not going to lie and artificially inflate a ranking because it's popular. I really like the glorilla single I think it has a good beat and I enjoy her vocal performance quite a bit. Here I really just do not like the singer's voice and it is an active penalty for me on my listening experience. I considered going even lower but I like the instrumentation so much that this is where I ended up. I'm sure this is a beloved record of yours and I can understand why a lot of people like it. It just doesn't do the same thing for me. Again, maybe on a relisten I will change my mind."
