Honestly just found this pretty boring and uninspired. Project was way too long also for how similar everything began to sound. Only song that stood out was "I'm bored, you're amorous" but that's maybe because I could relate to it (minus the amorous). By the time it was over I couldn't remember how it started.
This is like half of America's Got Talent pop (again, a term from Tiktok I greatly adore) and half soundtrack to a couple's package at a cruise line. There's definitely also something to the discussion I've seen of the adaptation of Freddie Mercury's mannerisms repackaged for a seemingly mainstream and straighter audience that I've seen on Tiktok but I'm not qualified to carry that discussion.
Arriving here after reviewing the albums that followed it makes this feel like looking upon a block of marble that will one day become a beautiful statue, but for now what you have is a big block and a chisel. In the starting stages of sculpting the statue, what comes off while more often than not will be big rough chunks, and that's what this project feels like to me. There's definite inklings of a more refined sound to come, but for now with a few exceptions we're left with ... read more
Yeah this is pretty safely my second favorite Peggy album after Offline!. I just really like where his desire to experiment with sounds has brought him here. "Free the Frail" and "Jesus Forgive Me, I Am a Thot" are some of his best songs, with other great songs including "Kenan Vs. Kel", "Grimy Waifu", "PTSD" and "Post Verified Lifestyle". A lot of these song very interesting transitions or even just moments in songs that take the user ... read more
If this album did one thing for me, it confirmed my love of guitar parts in Hip Hop songs. Peggy once again comes with his unmistakable production and intensity that has brough me so much acclaim and adoration. As insinuated before, the instrumentation on the production side seems to include inspiration and samples from a wider list of genres than before, resulting in seemingly more guitars and live drums, for example, than previous recordings. With a strong track list of bangers, going from ... read more

This one really came as a surprise to me, and not necessarily in a good way. I knew this album was incredibly influential and I won't deny that, and while it is a very good and consistent album, I guess I was expecting a 10/10 album it honestly isn't to me. While the beats are all very clean and jazzy and bouncy, there definitely comes a point when they all start to sounding similar. Also, though I would never say there any bad or even neutral songs here, ... read more
One of those albums where one track stands out from the rest and everything else is just okay or a lesser version of it. "Daft Pretty Boys" is the clear standout. The rest of the album feels pretty mundane in comparison. All technically fine, but just lacking a certain something.
A punk rock and Riot Grrl inspired album that feels like one punch landing after another. Good instrumentation, pointed lyrics, singing you can really feel the righteous anger within from, all good stuff. The shorter tracks leave a little bit more to be desired but all in all a good album.
"I can make my music sound like shit by myself" *Proceeds to make one of the highest regarded Experimental Hip Hop albums and albums in general of all time* I'll never understand the mind of Peggy but as long as the hits keep coming I just won't question it.

I don't know if I've ever heard production quite like this and it consistently impressed me track after track (I'm imagining SOPHIE's involvement had something to do with that). Vince has a mastery of his monotone flow that really reminded me of Guru from Gang Starr. With aquatic themes sprinkled throughout, this proves to be an enjoyable listen and a project whose first listen will leave you in anticipation of what will be coming next. I'm not sure ... read more

Just like some say that cocaine isn't the same as it was in the 80's, I imagine marijuana isn't what it was in the 70's if you can make tasty riffs while enjoying some. Ozzy has great vocals as he is known to do with Tony, Geezer, and Bill all keeping up. While I may not want to join them in whatever Reality they are the masters of, I certainly don't mind their exports to the world of music. "Children of the Grave" is safely in my favorite ... read more
Just under a half hour of heart pumping, rage building, fast driving riffs and drumming. Solos feeling trying to make hairpin turns on a demonic highway in some sort of comic book world. If you're driving a hotrod around a post apocalyptic world that has been taken over by evil forces and you want to put some imps in your grill like a battering ram, this is what you should listen to while you do so. "Angel of Death" and "Raining Blood" are in contention for best ... read more
This is one of the most consistent albums ever. Gibbs' varied and intricate flows paired with Madlib's innovative and unique beats are absolutely amazing. Every song on here is excellent and feels distinct from each other but also absolutely all belong on this album. Particularly great run from "Deeper" to "Thuggin'". Great features from Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Scarface, Mac Miller and more make this excellent project even better. The only points off are ... read more
Poignant and insightful commentary on America at the time with issues that unfortunately still ring true in 2025 delivered in a way somewhere between the ramblings of a maniac and the vocal mastery of an opera singer. Serj truly is a master of his voice and in the upper echelons of vocalists. The guitar, bass, and drum work absolutely keeps up with the level he sets. If you think you don't like Nu Metal, give this an album a listen and see what it can be with people with a message and a ... read more

Absolutely chock full of creative ideas, an infectious groove and bounce, and amazing synth work. If you only know it for Feel Good Inc, you'll be blown away by all the other sounds and genre incorporations you'll find in the tracklist. If there was to be a low point I would say it would be "White Light", but that means its only good rather than great or higher. Damon really brings some great work here and a list of great features. As a Gorillaz ... read more
While a very good album in its own right, I must admit I find "Three Cheers" the better album by quite some distance. With solid singles that I knew going in, I more found myself liking songs I had never heard before the most like "This is How I Disappear" and "House of Wolves", maybe because they reminded me of "Three Cheers" songs I really liked. "Famous Last Words" would've been an excellent closing track if not for the odd choice of ... read more
A glorious and engaging trip (in both senses of the word). Has an undeniable groove throughout its runtime, aided by a wide variety of instruments that all still make a cohesive soundscape. Bass guitar stands out particularly strong to me throughout. Vocals are eerie and mystical. I feel I really have to give another listen to "The Creator Has A Master Plan" by Pharoah Sanders (which used to have my record for longest song listened to) for comparison's sake. A very, very strong ... read more
Depending on how you're currently feeling, this song is either basically background music or the absolute last thing you want to ever hear oh my god turn this off right now. It has the same effect as "Don't Worry, Be Happy" where if you are indeed not happy, having someone to tell you to be is the most upsetting thing in the world. Screw off Pharrell, I'm miserable and I want to be.
A pretty quintessential example of an album that starts strong and ends strong but the middle is decent to lackluster. First four non intro tracks and the last two tracks are all quite great. "Vendetta", "This Cold Black", and "Wherein Lies Continue" are all decent. "Gehenna" and especially "Butcher's Hook" are where it gets into really feeling subpar. Overall though, the strengths of the album land it at this rating which for right now is ... read more
