Since i first heard Dry Cleaning years ago, I’ve always loved the post-punk stuff the band is doing but i simply CANNOT get into the spoken word. I wish she would sing more because when she does it sounds good! But with the deadpan stuff it’s like Horsegirl or WFYE but without any charm

Majority of this is wallpaper house music with just a couple of tracks that have some real character and subversive, glitched-out textures
Undeniably catchy, new wave-inspired indie pop. Nothing too inventive but incredibly vibey
upon relisten this is still really solid but idk why it’s anyone’s AOTY. There’s a lot of similar stuff that I prefer to this, there’s just too much atmosphere in this album
porches really is the definition of “anti-pop” in my eyes. this is decent but i feel like he put these elements together much better on Shirt.
im confused because this is just fantastic on a technical level but it’s also the goofiest thing of all time
