FELCOMMENTARY SPEED REVIEW
I lied, one more review.
This entire album should have just been a rock album, striaght up. Lithonia, Real Love and Running Around are easily the best songs on the album and the soul/hip-hop songs are either painfully boring or straight up duds. Talk My Shit had potential to be a cool bumpin song to throw on a playlist but had some pretty bad features, and Can You Feel Me is just straight up a bad idea. If I had a dollar for every time a rapper rapped/sang the ... read more
Final review of the year because life has been pretty cooked and I’m burnt out. I’ll still be doing ratings and an end of the year list for best and worst albums, and then we’ll go into 2025 swinging.
Wow. I never thought I’d see the day, but here I am, giving Kendrick a 5/10 on an album.
After the beef finally settled down, the announcement of Kendrick performing at the Super Bowl and his release of “let the party die” there was a lot of speculation on if ... read more

Me listening to this psycho talk about cutting people's ears off while I work my 9-5 Computer Science job: πππππ
What the mother fuck are they putting in the water in Atlanta, fucking fent?? We need to lock this nigga up and swallow the key like a Hanna Barbera cartoon character. Fuck Yuji Itadori, THIS is Sukuna's next vessel. CJDaChamp needs to just give him his spot on the Black Air Force Table already without even making a video. I love ... read more
Welp…at least it’s better than One More Light?
Mike Shinoda, I ask this in the nicest way possible: why did you guys even bother coming back? Between the re-releasing of the same songs and singles over and over over the past few years, to shilling out for NFTs and AI music videos, to all the controversy of the pick of Emily Armstrong for your new vocalist, it just feels like everything along the way was tarnishing the band’s name. After the extremely tragic death of Chester ... read more
Rest In Peace Chester Bennington, music has not been the same without you
With the return album “From Zero” right around the corner, I figured I should do an actual review of One More Light instead of my 1 sentence banger of a review from before.
Let’s cut the bullshit: this is bar none Linkin Park’s worst album, and it still isn’t very good despite all the time and emotion that’s come since its release. There is almost nothing tying this project to Linkin ... read more

It breaks my heart to say it because I LOVED the EP, but this was...really kind of mid. Almost all of the songs had nowhere near the same amount of punch as the EP songs did and it feels way too formulaic for a band's first album especially. Like Drowning In A Burning World LITERALLY sounds like the same riff from Become So Small.
At All Times is a banger though.

There is an INSANE amount of potential I'm seeing from this album, ranging from the production to the beautiful and jammy emo instrumentals that I never got bored of throughout this entire 43 minute project. There are plenty of moments of great cohesion of intensity and somberness: a perfect example is the dichotomy between the blast beats and the very heartwarming soundplay on "muffled beneath the sound of the ocean".
The biggest problem for me, as ... read more
50 > 40, I gave it another listen and it's gone from mid to straight up not good, this is just not Linkin Park anymore. If this song is identifable enough to be a single for the album, we're in bad shape.
To say that all hype and exciement for this album has plummeted off of a cliff is putting it lightly. Even if Chester was on this track, it's still a painfully boring and mediocre alternative/pop rock track that takes way too long to build up and has a very weak instrumental ... read more
This is giving me some serious King Crimson vibes with those drums and guitars and their production. I'm guessing this album is gearing up to be a IGOR style album with prog-rock production and instruments, and I am so fucking ready for it. I can see why some would say sonically and lyrically it's disjointed, but I think in the context of the full album it will mesh way better. Very excited to see where Tyler goes thematically with this album and the visuals he puts into his videos.
23 minutes of pure, undiluted, sex-pest, porn addicted hell.
I initially intended this to be a FELComentary Speed Review, but after the first two songs, I had to go full on reviewer mode with this pile of slop.
First things first, obligatory “Produced by Dr. Luke, fuck you” comment.
Second, I want to state that I am, in no way shape or form, against sex in music or sexual expression in art as a whole. There have been so many amazing works of art in history that were centered ... read more

A relatively fun and unexpected drop from one of metal's GOATs. Serj's typical weird and out-there vocal inflections are always a treat, as well as his song writing chops, but I find the instrumentals a little lacking here. The production felt kind of stiff, and my complaints from A.F. Day still carries over; I find the distortion on Serj's voice to be unpleasant and uncoming of him. Regardless, there's a few bangers on here, especially Cartoon ... read more
70 > 80, ok nevermind this song fucking rocks I can't deny the inner edgy high schooler in me
God damn man EVERYONE'S coming back in 2024 and I'm here for it
I was HUGE Breaking Benjamin fan in high school, but they're one of the few childhood bands that kind of fell out of my radar for me as time went on. The weakest part of the band, and is still being shown here, is Ben's singing and the lyrical songwriting. So much of his lyrics just sound like a bunch of ... read more
The cost of giving up was painfully mediocre 5/10 metalcore filler but crystalized was actually pretty fun (7/10). I was a little worried that an inclusion of a pop song like this would cause the album to be disjointed and non-cohesive but I still appreciate it. So far this is the weakest of the song releases for this album but I'm still hyped.
My 100th review on this website, time flies when you’re having fun I suppose. I intentionally waited to write this review because this album is special and I wanted to wait for a momentous occasion like me yapping for the 100th time on AlbumOfTheYear. Thanks to all of you who throw out likes on my reviews and leave kind comments, it means a lot to know I’m not just blabbering into the void on this website lol

She Geordie on my Greep till I make The New Sound (incredibly loud incorrect buzzer)
I haven't really listened to black midi that much, but I appreciate what I HAVE heard: insane and technical rock music that is an entertaining listen start to finish. Seeing Geordie's part of that band in a solo project just ratchets that entertainment up ten fold. Between the simultaenously chill and extravegant jazz elements to the insane out-of-pocket vocal performances ... read more
If you unironically hate this song you're a Gold Medal Corn-lymics winner idc I said what I said, this song is funny as hell, has a good beat with good production, and good chemsitry between Cardi and Megan. I'm only writing this now because it showed up as a recommended from another album I was looking at and had to comment.
Genuinely one of the most uncharismatic, unlikeable and insufferable rappers I've ever listened to in my 28 years of being alive on this planet
Let me start with this: I do not take pleasure in roasting Joyner Lucas or his music: I WANT to like what he creates. I'm always a slut for conscious hip-hop, and I always appreciate attention to detail and story-based song writing in music. But when it comes to Joyner Lucas - especially in comparison to other artists in the genre - he just ... read more

Aye Savage, what's 9 plus 10?? (21, 21)
I have never really sat down and listened to a 21 Savage album; he was always a rapper that was never on my radar. From his repetitive and monotone flow and constant ad-libs, I just wrote him off as primarily a feature rapper. And from listening to this album, I can appreciate him much more writing wise, but he's definitely still more of a feature rapper than anything. That being said, there's some pretty good ... read more
Spiritbox if they were good (no hate to the fans of course, I just think it's very generic)
Poppy's screams sound a lot cleaner here and less like painful shrieks and that's awesome. I loved the sound of her older screams, but I can tell they were extremely straining to perform live, so hopefully this is an easier way to perform. The syrupy smooth vocals in the chorus blend perfectly with the typical metalcore soft chorus as well. Please Poppy stick with this genre, it's ... read more
It's been 7 long years since I've listened to a newer All That Remains release, and I can see that I haven't missed much because this is ass. Even after all this time and all the negative press, they continue with these stale and copy-pasted alternative metal production and riffs that are ripped right from a Disturbed song. Phil still isn't a great singer and sounds WAY too much like David from Disturbed for my taste. Calling this band's performance a monumental falloff ... read more
