Lil Dicky - Earth
0

You know what, I have to appreciate this song in some sense: this song managed to encompass every single aspect of music - let alone pop music/culture - that is absolutely dispicable. Between the fuck ass Ed Sheeran/Fruity Loops beat, the numerous unecessary and unfunny features, the nasally falsetto singing, everything comes together on this song. This song is supposed to be an "envrionmental" message, but hilariously goes against everything that any actual enviornmentalist would ... read more

Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To
90

Ok guys wrap it up, the Drake vs. Kendrick beef is officially over because Album of the Year just dropped.

Knocked Loose has swiftly become one of my favorite metal bands in my main circle right now. Upon initial recommendation from one of my friends, I really liked the metalcore instrumentals but couldn't get behind the vocals for hte longest time. But as time went on, I really started to appreciate them more: Bryan Garris' extremely yelpy and high energy screams are the perfect kind of ... read more

Metro Boomin - BBL DRIZZY BPM 150.mp3
70

This is so petty and kinda low effort but funny as fuck. I guess Metro shut his ass up and made some drums.

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us
90

The weakest of the four disses towards Drake. I fucked with the West Coast style beat, but lyrically it didn't feel like anything biting that wasn't said already on "meet the grahams". This just feels like Kendrick shooting a corpse when he should be showing receipts.

Edit: 70 > 90, nevermind I was tripping. We still need receipts (unless Sunday ends with the feds knocking down Drake's door lmao)

Kendrick Lamar - meet the grahams
100

Edit: The mole was real, this is a 100. Eat shit Drake.

Not posting a rating on this one yet because idk if I want to join the crowd and give it a 100 (though it's definitely the best in the rap wars so far). I sincerely hope I'm just being overdramatic about this, but I feel like at the way this is escalating someone is gonna get shot in this beef. This diss track was actually kind of unsettling and disturbing between the piano instrumental and Kendrick's delivery on everything. Much like ... read more

Drake - Family Matters
70

90 > 70, this song aged like a fucking corpse. It's engaging and Drake is performing at his best, but this shit is legit just 7 minutes of straight up lying lmao

I actually can't believe it, Drake is back in it. I really thought it was gonna be over after two diss tracks back to back but bro is going for the fuckin throat now. Drake said some pretty heinous shit in this (assuming it's true), I want to see Kendrick drop the bomb next. I don't care if he's got ghost ... read more

Twisted Wizard - You Won't Like Me

Five Finger Death Punch if they were good

ppcocaine - DDLG

Who the fuck let Kid Trunks from Dragon Ball Z spit on a mic? Every music nerd has to ask themself "what is on the list of worst songs they've ever heard" and I genuinely think this might be the worst. Tones and I's Dance Monkey feels like a fucking breath of fresh air to me, and that song sincerely ruins my mood when it's played at bars. This is what trashy teenagers think "sex positivity" is.

Kendrick Lamar - euphoria
90

And with that, all is right with the world again. Bro really took away Drake's N-word pass lmao

The Smile - Wall of Eyes
85

Good job me, being 3 months late to finally reviewing this album lmao

I really enjoyed the first Smile album, despite it being a somewhat by-the-books "The Bends" era sounding Radiohead album. It had some great memorable songs and it was just awesome to see some of the boys back to making music again since it's been 8 years since the last Radiohead album. With that being said, the songwriting gets turned up to 11 on almost every single song on this new album here, and shows that Thom ... read more

Knocked Loose - Suffocate
90

Guys just wrap it up already, this is album of the year, no point in going forward in 2024

I just want to personally thank Knocked Loose for bringing Poppy out of what was possibly her mid era (her last album was NOT good). The chemistry between the two of them was damn near perfect: Poppy's shrieks lined up perfectly with Knocked Loose's song writing. Possibly one of my favorite collabs of the past few years.

Logic - 44ever
70

God I missed this Logic. It's been a long time since I've listend to or even thought about Logic (pretty much college lmao) after his historical fall off, but this was a nice treat. Really good performance and flow, I like the synthy and simple beat, overall pretty good.

Yeat - 2093
80

This is one of the most exciting turn of events I've seen in the rap game in a while: Yeat putting out what might be my favorite hip hop album of the year while all my favorites are in the middle of a corny ass rap beef (or being a Nazi)

I had listened to Yeat's project last year and found it very lacking: I was really into the production and general vibe that comes with rage music, but much like every other rage project I listened to, the biggest problem was the performances by the rappers ... read more

Drake - Push Ups
80

I am a notorious Drake hater (look at my review for his last album) but holy shit he actually popped off with this one. We live in a timeline where this zesty ass mf is outperforming J. Cole. Petition to remove J. Cole from any and all Big Three arguments, who's with me?

Eminem - Killshot
90

Eminem roasted MGK so hard he had to switch genres, J. Cole take notes lil bro

J. Cole - Might Delete Later
50

EDIT: After looking over the lyrics analysis and what people are saying online, Cole was actually saying To Pimp a Butterfly was boring, not Good Kid Maad City. First of all, bro apparently forgot how to count cause TPAB is his third album, not second lmao. Second, TPAB is boring is one of the shittiest takes I've ever heard. You LITERALLY drew inspiration from it on 4 Your Eyez Only, what the FUCK are you talking about Jermaine lmao

Started off pretty strong, but fell off hard and fast after ... read more

fallingwithscissors - the death and birth of an angel

Man it feels good to be a metalcore fan these days

This is a wonderful little EP that I never would have found were it not for this website. It does an excellent job at the frantic nature of breakcore and how it can fuse with metalcore. There's so much going on in every single song it's an absolute auditory overload and I love every moment of it. The screams and gutterals are on point throughout the entire project as well.

If I had a small critique to give, the mixing is a little off at ... read more

Submarine Man - On The Prowl
100

Cookie Monster ass flow lmao

Better Lovers - The Flowering
60

Compared to all the other absolute bangers Better Lovers has put out, this song feels pretty boneless. The riffs are a little generic and the random tempo increases towards the end are just really distracting. Still I love Greg Puciato and every performance he does is fire.

Lil Wayne - Bless
60

A pretty solid track between these two. Young Thug definitely carried, especially towards the end. That autotune effect on Lil Wayne halfway through the song was wack and lead to some awkward "harmonies" but still a solid bump.
