Nowhere near as enjoyable in pure audio form, but if you like watching 'Hamilton' then you'll probably enjoy this, simple as that.
'Let's Eat Grandma' have a sound that just scratches an itch deep inside me, and this album continued that trend.
Not a 100 as the only review as of now has it - but Les Mis is an iconic soundtrack for a reason. Whilst you are likely to find better voices in theatre productions of the show, it does not subtract too much from the quality of this soundtrack (except Russell Crowe, you're far better off finding someone else for his parts lol). You're bound to find yourself singing along to the classics no matter what
I'd probably describe most of this album as filler music with a few standouts. Enjoyable but forgettable, it's good background music
A decent short EP at 15mins, 'Nobody Wants You' instantly caught my attention and has stuck around my playlists ever since
I'm feeling generous so he can have a 1 for somehow managing to ruin his career even more than the previous album did. Give a monkey an iPad with garageband on it and it would make a far better album than this, even if it threw the iPad against a wall and smeared it in feces.
Quite frankly a painful piece of 'work' to sit through if you can even call it that. The whole album is offensively lazy and quite frankly an insult to anyone who has enjoyed Hobo Johnson's music in the past. The fact that this was released is a spit in the face of the music industry and quite honestly warrants a public apology from everyone involved for how poor it was. It only scores a 7 because there are some chords that resemble music, and honestly that's a generous score influenced by my ... read more
Not a bad album, but did not match the levels of enjoyment I got from their previous works. There's a chance it may grow on me still
APRE present an enjoyable if slightly unpolished EP here - personally I find the version of 'Without your love' found here to be far superior to the alternative studio version
Gloomy yet enjoyable, listening to this album is certainly an experience (if not a short lived one at only 30mins long)
A stunning soundtrack that immerses you in the world of Journey, beautifully capturing the emotions felt as you glide across the desert. The entire soundtrack is a joy to listen to.
A sweet and fun debut album that is sure to catch your attention. My only real gripe with the project as a whole is that quite a few of the songs sound quite similar - not to say they are bad songs at all (it's quite consistently solid in all fairness) but BLACKSTARKIDS have certainly found a sound and they stick to it here. It's won't be to everyone's taste, but I reccomend you give it a listen and see what you think!
Tom Misch and Yussuf Dayes are a match made in heaven - the instrumentation throughout the entire album is awe-inspiring.
