The third LP This Life is a Beautiful War from solo post-rock artist Rob Evraets Jr. aka Hereafter dives into a more sophisticated and emotional depth and ultimately manifests his maturity created by his lush composition and solid instrumentation. Through the glacial ambience and cinematic soundscape, the subtly arranged percussions interweave with reverb-heavy and infectious guitar riffs, switching the vibe between melancholic introspections and emotional explosions.
While For The First Time presented a sense of tension and high anxiety through its dynamic sonic impulse mostly influenced by post-punk, Ants From Up There acts as the light at the end of their debut’s gloomy tunnel, moving to a more contemplative and melodic musical pattern.

Utada is one of the really few pop singers that has never released any disappointing albums so far, same for the new album. (I was also quite confident about this album as it is also produced by some of my favourite artists such as Nariaki Obukuro and Floating Points).
