Sheck Wes - ILMB
15

the chorus is terrible and obnoxious
travis's feature sucks too
the production gets grated into your ears into oblivion
the music video is probably the worst part of it all but at least it was filmed on a 144p camera so you don't even know whats going on half the time
never let sheck wes on a mic again please

comedy rap
cover sucks ass but this song's funny as hell

System of a Down - Toxicity
90

probably one of the most entertaining album's i've ever listened to. insane quality on all fronts, whether that be vocally, instrumentally, lyrically, which i didn't expect coming into this record. why was 2001 so stacked on amazing music though.

A$AP Rocky - LONG.LIVE.A$AP
85

liked most of it. probably liked it more than live love asap by a considerable margin too. probably something to do with the delivery.

Creo - We Can Dream
85

creo's always been an artist that i've enjoyed even from the start of my music journey, this might just be one of my favorite songs from him

Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz
85

music in 2025 peaked today. can't convince me otherwise. this was the best day for music, with bcnr and this album over here. both of them are serious aoty contenders for me, but i don't know which one's better.

Mac Miller - NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert
NR

the people zero bombing just cuz they want to see kendrick at the top πŸŒΉπŸ’”
like yeah we all know tpab sweeps this but saying this is a 0 is disgusting

Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong
90

maybe this might be aoty material.
as to be expected, bcnr crushes it on the long songs. love how progressive and instrumentally lush they are. but for some of the shorter songs too, the lyrics did cut pretty deep and the production's amazing. i don't know if this is as good as ants, i'll have to revisit that one soon. this album did not disappoint at all, excited what's in store for this band.

Miley Cyrus - End of the World
NR

this definitely sounds like one of the major hits on her new album. i love it but definitely not my favorite out of the three new tracks that were released

Skrillex - F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3
75

some of the beats just slip out one ear and out the other. but some are really fantastic. sounds like donuts but taken into the dubstep world.

edit: nevermind. tracks 30-33 gotta be some generational run type shit, one of the best 4-track runs i've heard this year
track 34 is also a pretty beautiful love letter to those that's helped skrillex get to where he is today.

Miley Cyrus - Prelude
NR

this is about to be her best album. i really think she's trying to go all out on her next album. if this is the prelude, it sounds so cinematic and grandiose. im speechless

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
90

my god that was intense. and amazing too. the number of amazing singles that's dropped over the last few weeks.

Cacola - A Gift to Us All
NR

lowest rated track being a 78 and the user score's a 68? ok...

will listen to this later

Quadeca - Sisyphus
95

so cinematic

Ariana Grande - eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead
65

great crop of tracks that were added. hampstead is ariana once again displaying her incredible vocal capabilities. liked this more than what was on eternal sunshine originally

Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill
100

one of the two perfect songs on plastic beach for me

Black Country, New Road - For the Cold Country
95

first off thanks @Gram for telling me where this song was located

loved this single. probably tied for my favorite song i've listened to this year, but unfortunately both of them aren't on spotify. the progressive art-pop esque that this song embraces, along with the amazing vocals layered on top of the production creates for an amazing experience, and the best out of the three singles they released for their upcoming album. can't wait to hear the rest of it next friday.

Playboi Carti - MUSIC - SORRY 4 DA WAIT
NR

sorry but i don't find too much in the four extras that were added.

Quadeca - GODSTAINED
90

thought this song was already good past the 2 minute mark, the last minute is just transcendental though holy shit

On peachxoxopeach's review of Magdalena Bay - Second Sleep / Star Eyes
"@peachxoxo I could see that. but at the same time, like, it’s very hard to be original. people before you have already talked about all the things you wanted to talk about, so what else are you supposed to really say about the music without coming off as pretentious. not much, really."

On Yellowslotcar's review of Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked at Me
"@Yellowslotcar huge respect for putting your opinion out. i do agree with many points you make about this work but i see this made not only for therapeutic relief for phil, but to also to help others that are overcoming death (which, of course, is the primary reason for it's critical acclaim and widespread praise. kind of similar to what ofelectricheat said). not to generate revenue. he's been making music ever since like the late 90's, so profit was probably (hopefully) not an incentive for him while releasing this to the world."

"as an abstract hip hop album, there really is no narrative. it's a snapshot of many different ideas into an amalgation of an album. there is no definitive or unifying factor that ties this album together. as for the lyricism, i'm not sure if you paid attention to the whole thing. sure, some songs touch upon common ground for many topics adjacent to many other hip hop records. i'll give you that. but saying that the wordplay and lyricism is average? come on. if you search up any video highlighting all his rhyme schemes on any song, you would see how insane they really are. plus there are so many witty one-liners i admire that you formed ur own opinion tho. it took me a full year of listening to this thing on and off to fully get it"
