Judas Priest - British Steel
82

Good album, not an overwhelming fantastic album. There’s really no misses, but definitely a longing for more substance in some of the tracks.

AJR - OK ORCHESTRA

I can’t stand this… this shit sucks.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
95

Wish You Were Here is a premium song and Wish You Were Here is a premium album.

Third Eye Blind - Third Eye Blind
85

Killer album. It’s like Third Eye Blind said let’s make the most low key banger album and people were convinced the only three songs were gonna be major hits, yet Losing A Whole Year and The Background are hit single material.

Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR
77

There’s a bunch of good ideas on this album! Drivers License might actually one of the most emotional pop songs that’s garnered fame in the current era of music. Deja Vu’s got a nice bridge, though it’s definitely existed. Happier feels like it’s too fast? Something about that melody, I feel, would be stronger suited as a slower almost ambient/dream pop vibe.

The Voidz - Human Sadness
100

Probably my favorite song that’s over 7 minutes.

A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory

HERE WE GO, YO!
This might be the one of the most consistently great hip hop records I’ve ever heard. There’s one song in particular that is unfortunately ummm not the best aging lyrically.

LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver
85

James Murphy couldn’t write a bad hook if he tried.

Royel Otis - PRATTS & PAIN
82

inItially gave it an 85, sat on it felt more like an 80, so 82 is a fair middle ground. Really appreciate the post-punk influence.

Royal Blood - Royal Blood
82

First half is significantly better than the second half. There’s no true true misses, but note-worthy lesser songs.

Of Monsters and Men - My Head Is an Animal
66

It’s a cute INCREDIBLY forgettable album aside from the two big songs.

Del Water Gap - Del Water Gap
74

Really wish he leaned into the indie pop rock on the first track for the rest of the album.

Angus & Julia Stone - Down The Way
84

Draw Your Swords is remarkable.

Underoath - Teeth
83

Very weird song, feels more like an interlude than the lead single. Ending is pretty cool.

Daughter - Music From Before the Storm
85

Some absolutely fantastic ambient pieces and incredible dream pop indie songs on here. Highlights include All I Wanted, A Hole In The Earth, and Hope.

Passion Pit - Gossamer
63

There’s so many qualities in this album that keeps you on your toes, including consistently fantastic production and living and breathing instrumentation. With that being said, there’s some drama class tomfoolery ALL OVER this. Does it make it distracting? Not completely, but god does the higher register singing, brain drilling vocal melodies, and grandiose Glee-esque ensemble vocals really make change my facial expression. For some reason, one song, ‘Mirrored Sea’ is ... read more

Joey Bada$$ - 1999
88

Super strong project, HARDKNOCK is amazing.

Slipknot - Slipknot
90

As much as the first half is like undefeated bangers, the second half is still pretty freakin good especially continuing the pacing of the heaviness, and Joey is king when it comes to drumming.

On La Dispute - II
"While King Park is the more emphasis on the heavier post-hardcore that I enjoy and TLLC is probably my favorite La Dispute song lyrically, ECF could go down as the most definitive La Dispute song."

"Even though I’m not the biggest expert on trip hop, would you consider the second half of their song Redecorate as trip hop?"
