#178 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

Very good! I liked it a lot! I am running out of things to say sometimes.
I don’t know much that could’ve been done for me to increase my rating honestly (apart from the two songs I didn’t really like, but that goes without being said), it’s probably just a matter of time and adjusting to a genre I haven’t heard much from apart from this list.

Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home

#181 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

The first Dylan album I listened to that I can definitely say I loved start to finish. Expanding to being half electric and half folk makes for phenomenal first and second halves. Dylan’s storytelling ability is also on another level here.

A fantastic funky alternative rock record that carries its energy from the beginning through to the very end.

#189 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

It’s been quite a while (for this list) since the last punk album, which is fairly good news to my ears. It’s definitely reached a point I can say this is not a genre for me, and although I love the energy put into the vocal performance of this album, it’s certainly not my style. That being said, this LP did present quite a few songs that I enjoyed, even if I doubt I’ll ever revisit them ... read more

#190 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

Watched the 1975 film alongside listening to this album which I think enhanced the experience overall for me. I looooove concept albums especially when they’re this dedicated to the storytelling. I think there was the tiniest amount of filler but when going for a rock-opera at this grand of a scale it is probably necessary most of the time.

#191 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

It always pains me to give albums like this a “lower” rating when yes the music as a whole and singing are good; but in an albums sense don’t really feel complete or as one. In this case however I believe it’s a bit below its contemporaries that have also appeared on the list so far.

#192 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

I stand by the rating I gave this last time I listened to it, while this album certainly has a bunch of hits and very rare bad moments, it’s simply not for me and gets annoying pretty quickly, which is odd because I don’t get that problem with ‘Check Your Head’

Michael Jackson - Bad

#194 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

Completely honestly and surprisingly to myself, I think what this album revealed to me is that lots of the greatness of Michael was his performance itself. Does that mean I think this album was lacking in any sort of energy? No, but it’s definitely difficult for me to listen to these songs without imagining their extensions in visual or other forms. Hits still hitting.

#195 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

From what I’ve gathered, Leonard Cohen is/was regarded as a poet first and foremost, and this is quite apparent in his debut album - I admire how well these art forms cross over into one another. I can understand and respect the fact that this is likely one of those pieces of work that have you sit with you for a really long time, and takes many years of experience and maturity to fully appreciate and understand all the ... read more

#196 Rolling Stone’s “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time

A really good dance-pop album with few misses. To be honest though this is something I don’t see leaving a lasting legacy and is the type of album to not remain on lists like this a decade from now. Very rare letdowns on this tracklist including one mediocre Snoop Dogg song.
