A fantastic jazz fusion record and one of Al Di Meola best bodies of work with a lovely fusion of jazz, Latin influence and style of music such as Latin Jazz, Flamenco and Andalusian Rock for a warming and playful listen and with some complex compositions makes the soundscape so enriching for both a casual bopping listen and a more intensive one.

A great debut by the singer/ songerwriter and indie folk artist displaying a lot of strengths including his lyrcism and his powerful vocals for an introspective but yet funny record and alongside a strong first half but yet a bit fo a weaker second half which isn't as memorable, Fear Fun is surprisingly a fun record and manages to separate himself from Fleet Foxes.

Is this Fiona Apple's weakest apple, I mean yeah i guess but my god is it still so great and mind blowing of an experience, to the powerful lyrics and piano driven art pop with some magnificent moments such as the self titled track and Tymps and honestly this record gets a lot of heat due to it's very long wait and ultimately people setting quite high standards does she reach them well it's not as consistently great as Tidal or When the Pawn or have as many impressive tracks but Extraordinary ... read more
Although the vocals on Images is that of amazing creating such a soft and lush atmosphere and easily the biggest strong point of Images and You'll Never Get to Heaven as a band however with some decent production but at some point not offering a lot to chew on such as songs like White Light and To Be Fair does hurt the record as an overall experience but with some impressive moments and an overall lovely atmosphere keeping me engaged, Images is a pleasant listen.

White Lung's debut is a great introduction for the Punk driven noise rock band and at 24 minutes leaves nothing but punches however as the relevantly small run time starts drawing to an end the punches it delivers seem to get weaker and weaker leaving less and less of an inmapct don't get me wrong the first half is easily great and although the second half is also good it just isn't memorable anymore but still good and with some good highlights such as Wild Failure, Viva la Rat and Atlanta, ... read more
An absolute cult classic with the realms of melodic blackened death metal and for god reason with an explosive and energtic release mxied with a cold and dark atmosphere makes for an exciting and brutal listen and with some impressive vocals and excellent guitar playing for quite an overlooked album

After 3 years since his EP release, Feet of Clay, and 4 years since Some Rap Songs, it's been a while since Earl Sweatshirt has dropped a major project and here we are in 2022 with Sick! and although it isn't as experimental as Some Rap Songs, the same introspective almost depressing sound and lyrics are still present and filled with a more psychedelic abstract sound for quite a lovely progressive for his sound and for another solid release by the beloved artist. With great production and ... read more
After the success and beloved Return to Cookie Mountain, TV on the Radio return in 2008 with Dear Science, with a lovely futuristic soundscape and lush uplifting sound whilst offering some of their best lyrics, whilst maintaining a catchy style and taking elements of funk and post-punk for an album which stands out in the 00's indie rocks cene.

Wilderun return for the new year, with their 4th studio album, Epigone, and after a huge success of their previous album gaining a lot of attention and fans it was interesting to see what the band would do next and to see the band being their most subtle, introspective and in all regards lush makes for such a dreamy melodic progressive metal album, with strong ties to folk and symphonic metal and although the ties to Opeth are clear like a lot of modern prog metal bands, Wilderun maanges to ... read more
A new year of music is upon us and no better place to start with an already huge release and the long anticipated Dawn FM by The Weeknd, the follow up to his not only commericial success but beloved record by most people and it was interesting to see where he would go and too a more synthwave, funk, disco driven style and very much so a good sequel to After Hours and although it doesn't for me stick as much as After Hours and even then After Hours wasn't necessary always outstanding for me, ... read more
An explosive and raw release by Shellac with one of their most powerful but yet simple songs Prayer to God which masterfully sets the mood, tone and style for the rest of the album, a noisy, angry and sometimes sarcastic album with some uncommon time signatures but yet still catchy

With some interesting and catchy moments and some more dull and unspired moments, Junior is a solid 2000's electropop record which sees Royksopp move into a more commericial sound which isn't a bad thing but compared to their debut this album doesn't necessary stand up to it but has many great moments and ideas such as Happy Up Here and You Don't Have a Clue all catchy and great.

If there is one word, I would describe Origami Angel's debut Somewhere City, that would be nostalgic. How they managed to creat an early 2000's indie rock / emo sound and make it their own is amazing with great vocals which both bring me back to my days of listening to chemical romance and have punchy lyrics, with amazing drumming and guitar work. Somewhere City is a powerful modern emo pop record.

Kiss the anus of a black cat's debut, If the Sky Falls, We Shall Catch Larks, perfectly sets them on stage for an explosive debut and honestly an underappreciated Neofolk classic. Don't let the band name put you off this band don't deserve to be overshadowed by Death in June or Current 93, and although the comparison are fair, the belgian band manages to pull such a psychedelic and medieval style. Alongside every band member bringing fantastic musicianship and you have a great debut.
