This album was a emotionally hard listen
The wailing melodies in the first half of the record try to make sense and recollect pieces they lost
The second half of the record has the melodies looping in certain sections as if they forgot what came before and what will come after. I love this, can't wait to listen to the other stages!
I like this, the album starts off quite nicely and it flows well in the beggining but some tracks at the back of the record weren´t that good or catchy unlike the first half of the record, I still enjoyed the crazy production Eliminate has even though some tracks didn´t fit with me. "Playing WIth Fire" has a great introduction to the track and the drop doesn´t disappoint either
Man, this is so bad
It's one of those project where people talk about how you need to "get it"
"She" and "Yonkers" are the only listenable material on this...
An album full of hits and misses, at times it doesn't know where to go with the ideas it shows you
Lovely instrumentals from FlyLo, I can tell that this is heavily inspired by "Cosmogramma" and I see a couple of these tracks being on that record. I enjoy the synthetic feel the tracks have, it's almost like the synths are trying to say something to you, just like in the track "Time Vampires", my favorite track off the record.
Minimalistic but very effective EP, showcases lots of creative production choices, ideas and interesting switch-ups
I love what he did with each track, everything sounds cohesive and the mixing is quite good
Only issue being the track arrangements, not a big deal but a different arrangement on "Hot Pursuit" for example would make this score a 100
Man, revisiting this was too good!
I enjoyed the production and impactful instrumentals
I also loved the emotionally hard-hitting moments on this album, they are done quite tastefully
Can't say this is Slick Rick's best work but is has some hard hitting tracks both emotionally and instrumentally
Funny and unique
I can't listen to this album on the street or else I will start giggling uncontrollably
I really recommend this if you like interesting and fun stories when you listen to music
I'm truly not a fan of this type of music but this album brings something new for me
"She is inside, He is outside" has a great progression in it and I love that about it
Every song on this feels well put together
80 ---> 92
By gawd. How did I not appreciate this as much as I do now, this computer music sounds futuristic and experimental to this day. Whenever I relisten to any single track here (or the whole project) I find something more to be fascinated by, some melodies on this are still in my head from the latest relisten. Definitely one of the best electronic music works I've heard in my life! This album needs no further detailing or explaining, it's a sonic five course meal that is ... read more
Yeah! I see the appeal.
Some tracks are quite boring and there aren't many highlight you can talk about.
Some of my favorite stuff on this might just be "Peta" which has that fucking flute that I love, and "Tip Toe" which has almost everything going for it except Boogie's vocals
I wanted so much more from this but I'm happy with what I got, it's fun to listen to and has some outstanding production
But halfway through the vocals got really boring
Percussive IDM that hits quite hard, blends some industrial elements quite well, also the breaks that are used are something to remember
Fun Drum and Bass experience
Fuses some elements of old and new DnB quite tastefully
