I’ve listened to this album so much this past month and I just can’t stop. The first thing that pulled me in was definitely the songwriting, and how well the instrumentation suited it. The album as a whole feels more put together than the previous releases, less messy in a good way. Conor Oberst’s lyrics are poetry, I love his writing. It feels important, and the imagery is great.
