First two songs are so so good. The middle is filled with some indie mush but none of it is bad. I just didn’t get a lot out of it. But it has a relatively good ending compared to the slog. But I like this album a decent bit. I thought it was gonna be better than is this it when listening to the first two tracks but I was wrong
I love this album. It has this certain feel to it that I just love. It’s like I’m walking through a forest during the spring without a care in the world. Nick drake might be one of my favourite artists of all time. The way he composes and plays guitar is awe inspiring to me
It’s decent. Nothing that’ll absolutely blow your mind at every turn but a nice record to listen to
He sure does.
This album isn’t gonna blow anybody’s minds. It’s just fifty minutes of Mingus on the piano. But it’s performed so well and I find it so relaxing to listen to. This really is one of those background albums. It’s not ambitious, it sets out exactly what it is in the first minute. And it’s great
This is like your little brother making an album. You want to hate it, but you can’t because of how damn charming it is. And also the production goes hard. And chance is captivating as hell. Even when he gets annoying I still find him endearing as a rapper and singer. All the features did really well. Which is saying something because of how many there are there’s quite a lot. I really did love this album
Kanye talking about Jesus is interesting until it isn’t. The production on here is really half baked and poorly mixed. And these songs are so short so before they have a lot of momentum, they’re over. Really disappointing album from somebody who is always in that goat conversation. It’s not awful. There are some good songs on here. But as a package, yeah not for me
Pretty decent song. Not very high energy but I like how quaint it is. Even if the structure does get old after a while
This guys up next. He’s gonna drop something absolutely phenomenal in the near future. This was my first time listening to his proper debut and what a mixtape this thing is. The beats are insane and so layered. The rapping is spot on. Every second of those twenty two minutes I enjoyed
I’ve been aware of remi ever since I first started to review albums on here last year. And his reviews are some of the best ones I’ve seen. Going into details that I could never find myself. So I was weirdly excited when he followed me on here and told me to check his debut album out. And it’s great. It puts me at such peace. And since schools starting back up for me, it’s great to be in that mindset while I still can. So shouts out to my boy remi
A very good record. But the execution isn’t always the best. This is a great foundation album that sets up what the band can do, but as an actual album? It’s still good. I especially enjoyed the acoustic cuts off of here. I did not expect that but it’s how I felt
Just a really great album. Production is rock solid throughout both being catchy and rocking on. Vocal performances and songwriting are great as per usual by the band. It did kinda blend together in my mind but I don’t really mind that because it sounded so good by doing it
People think this guys next up?
Yeah this was not very good. Teezo is somebody who I never really thought of until this year. Starting with his feature on lil yachty’s the ride, which I thought was excellent. He brought so much life to that song through his shining vocals. Then modern jam happened. He became this over the top cornball for like twenty seconds. And here we are with his debut. I appreciate him trying his hand in a lot of different genres. Too bad they don’t collide ... read more
Like anybody, Minecraft has been a huge part of me growing up. Specifically the pocket edition and on the Xbox 360. I’ve probably put over 500 hours into Minecraft throughout my entire life. But I’ve never given the actual soundtrack a listen. So todays the day that changes that. And these songs are so peaceful and nostalgic and put me in such a place man. It’s genius work by C418 and it’ll live on forever. Mirroring how Minecraft as a game will likely as well
A really nice ambient album focusing more on off the wall samples than building up the ambience. Which is both a good and bad thing. I will definitely be back to this thing to decipher exactly what it is
This thing is fucking insane and so off the rails it’s insane. The performances from everybody are top notch and it’s so easy to fall into this trance with this album. Wether that be the calm or the storm. A great album and a perfect send off to a legendary talent
A beautiful record through and through. With phenomenal songwriting and great production to back it up. Loved it all the way through. Felt so icy and isolated from everything else I’ve listened to
A really great and smooth experience. I’ve always heard great things about owusu but never checked anything out. But this album is great. I thought it would be a hip hop album because I knew that’s what his last album was but it’s not. It’s a fun, dancy, groovy as hell punk album. Which I didn’t expect. But i still loved it. It’s brimming with life. Both in the production and vocals. It’s great
