Lil Peep - HELLBOY
51

It’s fine. I don’t really care about the sound at all. Peep isn’t very interesting to me. The production on here is decent it backs him up well. But the soundscape is nice I enjoyed that. The features aren’t very good though

Sunn O))) - Altar
68

This is a warning from god and I’m not sure how much I like it.

I love Boris. They’re one of my favourite bands of all time. But this one didn’t really strike a chord with me. I think the weird, gospel vocals are a great idea. But they don’t come into effect too often. It goes from boring to really interesting in a snap. But I still did enjoy being in this world

JID - The Never Story
73

A good debut album. The rap songs sometimes leave something to be desired whereas I prefer the rnb cuts on here. JID can sing really well and the guests carry their own too. But there are highlights on here. Never and ededneddy are great rap songs and this is a pretty good debut for one of hip hops golden boys right now

Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music For Airports
92

A phenomenal ambient experience. The first song transported me somewhere else. The middle didn’t quite do that for me but it finishes very strong. A great album that was probably insane to hear back in the day

The Clash - London Calling
65

Why this guy sounding like the old mf from the simpsons who homer works for

This album is fine to me. It’s decent. I think the melding of genres is cool, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Most times these songs just sound boring to me with nothing really going on. This was probably revolutionary back then but right now, I do not care for this sound. Also, this being an hour long certainly doesn’t play into its favour. I liked some songs and it’s certainly not ... read more

Kevin Gates - Islah
39

Really clunky album. Choruses are often awkward and not very catchy. The production is often generic and flys right by me. Kevin as a rapper is funnily bad. His flows are ass and are also surprise, very clunky and feel very unnatural. Just like the girls he likes

Farrah Abraham - My Teenage Dream Ended
60

What a fascinating album. It’s decently short, is produced weirdly pretty good? And the singing on here is really really bad. But the why this exists is really interesting to me. I know it’s not a good album quality wise, but it’s something that really fascinates me and it’s obvious why when you take a listen

Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor
89

What a great debut. Lupe kills every beat on here with great flows and lyrics backed up by inventive production. The choruses on here are insanely catchy too. And with this things runtime of being over an hour long, it’s a miracle that every song on here stands out to me as great in its own way. Don’t skip this album, it goes hard as shit

Weatherday - Come In
56

Basic sounding shoegaze with truly awful vocals and mixing. Also paced really poorly the middle is really dry with not a lot of interesting moments. Some moments on here are really good sounding. But as a overall album, yeah it’s close to being good but it just can’t get there

Boris - Heavy Rocks
91

They don’t miss holy shit. This one might be the simplest Boris album I’ve listened to that’s way more metal focused. Which is pulled off phenomenally well. The riffs are so good and the drumming is so dynamic. The vocals go crazy at every turn and the bass breaks add in a cool new element I didn’t know I needed. Banger of an album

The Beatles - The Beatles
76

I want whatever these guys are on holy shit

That was certainly an album, I can say that. This album feels so disconnected from reality and even from its own songs too. It’s one of the most inconsistent albums I’ve ever heard. Both quality wise and production and sound wise. Which leads to me really loving some songs. And wishing some weren’t on the track list. Even songs I liked I wouldn’t keep on the track list because they’re so in their own world compared to ... read more

my bloody valentine - Isn't Anything
34

Sounds like actual dogshit. Singing is off key, guitars aren’t pronounced enough, and the drumming is nothing special. The only reason why this isn’t lower is because of how this was a pretty decent idea but execution wise, it is absolutely terrible

Fugees - The Score
86

Some really great classic boom bap here. Great production, flows, and bars. I think the structure of this album is the biggest flaw I found. A lot of these songs are structured very similar to one another. And with the slower pace, some songs just come and go. But that’s not an album killer. This album is still great

Bedwetter - volume 1: flick your tongue against your teeth and describe the present.
78

Such a hard album to listen to. The emotions are so raw and with Travis attempting suicide, it makes every second of this album hit harder

death's dynamic shroud - I'll Try Living Like This
82

For a vaporwave album, this thing isn’t really charming to me. Which is something that I really did enjoy about the genre. The soundscapes on here are brilliant but the singing kinda sucks but I think that’s the point. Also not a big fan of the vocal slowdown. In a soundscape sense, it makes sense. But just listening to it more and more makes me really not like the vocals on here a lot. But the production is brilliant and sounds like a dream

John Fahey - Volume 6: Days Have Gone By
70

This is some charming hillbilly type shit. No vocals, just a man playing his guitar. It’s like he was just practicing and wanted to put it on an album. And I enjoyed that album. Even if it can feel really dull because like I said, it is literally just guitar so be warned

Massive Attack - Mezzanine
95

A groundbreaking album that sounds fresh almost thirty years later. Everything on here is razor sharp and finely tuned to trip hop perfection. I am somebody who doesn’t know a lot about trip hop but this album fucks

Mount Eerie - Dawn
90

The glow part 2 but better.

That’s really all I have to say about this album. Phil here seems more down on his luck. He sings better, he writes better, it’s paced way better. Overall, it’s just a great, melancholic album that’s really easy to listen to

Vince Guaraldi - A Charlie Brown Christmas
96

This album makes me :’) it’s just so joyful and happy to listen to I don’t know how anybody can not love it. It’s a classic for a reason. It puts me in this mood even though it’s fucking August and I love it. These compositions fit both Christmas and the special so well I don’t know how Vince done did it but he done did he’s a genius

Sadness - I want to be there
91

I can’t hear him. But I can feel everything that he’s doing. This album is heavy on the feels. Which is great. It sounds great too. I didn’t think this would be a blackgaze album but here we are. The screams are so real, so raw, and so satisfying to hear. I loved this album and I think you will too
