The soundscapes here are really something beautiful. But as an ambient album, I found that the worldbuilding was kinda weak. The album didn’t really take me anywhere and it felt too slow. But I still enjoyed spacing out to it so good job three stacks
A masterclass of an album. Everything here is done so phenomenally. From the noise electronics to the laid back synths, this album just fits in place for me. I’ve always loved Daniel but this album is just on another level. Phenomenal
Some good production and melody’s. I like Elliot’s songwriting too it feels nice. But sometimes it feels generic or not that interesting.
Maggot brain I would say is in my top twenty albums of all time. And while I was very impressed with a lot of the material on here, I can’t say I’m not disappointed. I just wanted more
Genuinely a phenomenal hip hop album. The songwriting is genius and the production has aged so well. The flows are on point. And while it does definitely take its time, it is very worth it to hear everything this album has to offer.
Someone cooked here.
Definitely my favourite album I’ve heard from the Beatles. Everything on here is just so razor sharp in what it wants to be. It’s crisp and catchy like abbey road yet weird and daring like the white album. It’s a happy medium and I loved it.
Another incredible album from Danny. Knowing everything he’s been through to not only release this album, but to get to this point in his life makes everything on here way more powerful. Listening to his podcast weekly really helped me gauge who Danny is through his crazy lens. The production is killer, the writing is killer, the features are pretty good, the hooks are well written but sadly not as catchy as I thought they’d be. Another Danny W for the books
While I did find this good and very technically impressive, I still found there to be a lot of things holding it back. The vocals are mostly unimpressive despite the band being very technically gifted. A lot of the songs just drag for me the pacing here is awful. It’s a whole lotta nothing sometimes. But there are some good material here. Just not enough to be one of my all time favourites
I don’t even know where to begin with this LP. One of the saddest, most desperate and angry albums I’ve ever heard. I hated listening to it because of how real and raw it is. It’s hard to live. And uboa shows some of the darkest places people can go
A powerful, unique album that’s always throwing new ideas at you with confidence 100 percent of the time
Stupid name aside, this album is filled with great production, catchy hooks, and stellar rapping performances. And yes, they are cunning lynguists.
Surprisingly, I’ve never listened to a full beach house project despite hearing about them for years. But I’m glad I checked them out. This album is serenely beautiful in production and melody alike. It feels like a dream and I loved it. Sometimes it felt empty but the truly beautiful parts make up for that tenfold. So yeah, banger over here
Absolutely serene and beautiful ambient album. Everything on here is just pure bliss I love it so much. It truly does feel like a melancholic world here and that’s why I love it. It’s cold, sad, isolated, but never says a word on why. You have to be your own judge. Give this album a listen
I can imagine closing my eyes to this and never wanting to wake up it’s so peaceful
A really generic 2010’s pop album. It has its moments but more often than not, it’s just basic and uninteresting with badly aged production
Definitely the best I’ve heard from Earl. The beginning of the album is actually really great. With stellar production and verses. The ending however starts to get way less interesting and boring. But overall, good job
A lot of this album is really cool sounding with awesome production. But it’s also dragged down by sounding dated at times, being not very interesting, and having some really bad mixing throughout. I still enjoyed my time with it, however because of how cool David Bowie is and when everything comes together, it’s lovely
A beautiful album through and through. Everything on here is really well produced and sung. I have never heard of Faye wong before but she made a banger
