This is what running naked on ecstacy feels like.
Words can’t describe the sensation of listening to an album mixed with shoegaze, idm, glitchpop and dreampop😩
Alright here we go
I haven't really been listening to much of Kanyes music in a while, especially his newer stuff. And going into this I had no expectations at all, and it honestly wasn't horrible. I feel like his writing and delivery has grown to a much better place, which is very present in "WHATEVER WORKS" and a few others. But as a whole package this album doesn't reach the 5/10 limit.
Most tracks are either not mixed properly, not fully structured or just too ... read more
Ngl this will ALWAYS be my all time favourite song. And YES it deserves to replace a whole album in my top 5
Kevin Parker trying something new and interesting, but not fullfilling the genre to its full capabilities which I know he could've. Reminiscent of "Honestly, nevermind" by Drake.
I still liked a few tracks here and there, and the album isn't bad. But just not fleshed out enough for me to care about it.
Listened to this album back in august when it released but I slept through the album and forgot about it next morning. Now I've done a relisten and GAH DAMN is it good.
Wasn't really surprised to see him get grammy nominated for best producer of the year cause this album hits HARD with it's layered, glitchy and borderline psychedelic production and stacked up vocals. What I appreciated most is the great variation between the tracks Dijon was able to make, while still keeping it ... read more
This album actually made me change my other 0/10 albums to a 1/10. Music generated by AI is truly the only music with no qualities at all, no emotion, no talent, no nothing. It feels disrespectful to music as a whole.
Don't care. Fuck this. Hate it. Worst album of all time.
Having this deep house album on CD is really a treat to turn on from time to time, amazing listen
Really great mixture between house and r&b, one of the greatest produced albums from this year and should've at least been nominated for a grammy.
(rating didn't make it past 7,5/10 because it got a little repetitive towards the second half)
This album ranges from good, outstanding to forgettable, which is usual for albums that mainly focus on its singles.
I liked this album, both the tracks Head Over Heels, Shout and Broken hit the mark quite well. And of course we need to mention Everybody Wants to Rule the World, still standing as one of the greatest tracks of all time. But the rest of the tracklist didn't really stand out, both vocally and production wise.
I seriously doubt anybody saying this is the best synthpop album ... read more
I remember liking some tracks here and there, but nothing that stood out. Poor guy tried making something new and different, but yeah this album ain't it at all.
Poorly pieced together album after his passing, there's no real consistency in how the tracklist is played out so it doesn't feel like the typical album experience. Some good tracks are there to find, but the lack of quality is clear and X is not the one who should take the blame for it.
The change of style that Daft Punk went through in the mid 2000s hasn't really aged well, and the same goes for a lot of music during this era. But there's still fun songs to find in the tracklist.
I consider this to be Juice WRLDs best curated album in his catalogue, and it honors his legacy well.
This album holds a bunch of fun mindless rap tracks, some with more lyricism and some deep tracks. It's a mixed bag of fun, but it's not mindblowing. Very sad to see an artist die so early in his career when it is clear to see the potential of what could've been. Still this album is really good in its own right.
I mainly see The Melodic Blue as a stepping stone for Baby Keem in his carrier, sure this album hold great lyricism and production but I feel like he has more to give than this.
I slighty prefer the more industrial take on trip hop, than the more dark jazz atmosphere take on trip hop which Portishead are the kings of. But this album is still an incredible listen from front to back.
