mr carter, dr carter, a milli and mrs officer are the only songs i go back to on here. sorry yall, i dont see what yall see in this one
i said slick ricks debut was the best hip hop album of the 80's and was tied with straight outta compton. with all respect to those albums, that is because i forgot this dropped in 89. this albuim is so insanely ahead of its time and has probably aged better than any other 80s rap album
dudes flows are INSANELY ahead of its time. a top 3 hip hop album of the 80s
the highlights are impressive but this isnt much to write home about
3 bangers but bloated as fuck and DMX is quite possibly the only person who could get away with 'where the hood at' cause the homophobia is WILD
not as good as his debut record, but this has some of my favourite rap songs of all time on here. platinum plus, deadly combination and the enemy are classics and even songs like 98 freestyle are classics. one of the greatest posthumous albums of all time
i used to hate semetary along with haunted mound as a whole. genuinely couldnt understand the hype with their music but they've grown on me a lot
Lets give it up to nicki manaj for having the most wasted potential of any rapper of the 2010's.
for all the influence, impact and fire verses she really dropped the ball with her discography and nowhere does that become more obvious than this album. A sequel to her debut that is, at best, a generic nostalgia batey pop rap album. as someone who doesnt even love pink friday, this is a HUGE step down and i do not have hope for pink friday 3.
I already didnt like tickets to my downfall, but it wasnt THAT bad. this is so much more soulless
Professional rapper is kind of an interesting song but its also super cringy and thats the best song here...
everything else is trash
Yeah fuck you this album is really fun
i cant call it a guilty pleasure cause i dont feel any guilt, sue me.
idk why i dont remember this album being this good but holy shit i've been sleeping on this
