Drake - Which One
15

didnt even know this dropped, saw the feature and sighed cause I know drake was boutta do some weird accent shit and I was RIGHT.

this shit is trash. I do not have hope for iceman

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
90

album just dropped. after you only die 1nce while I really enjoyed it, it really left me itching for Freddies next PROPER album so I was delighted to see Alfredo 2 be announced since the next madlib collab is in development purgatory from the looks of it.

I was doubtful this would live up to the first Alfredo but FUCK it really did. a thousand mountains has such a euphoric sample flip, Mar-a-lago is a good ol boom bap beat with freddie in a really chill pocket. I love the contrast that al and ... read more

Joey Bada$$ - ABK

I didnt even know this dropped, this dude sounds HUNGRY holy shit. what a good year for hip hop

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST
93

my 2nd favourite tyler album. Just extremely lush and full of personality

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
80

After chromakopia being so heavy and personal in mant ways, tyler earned an album where he can just have fun with making the music without any need for meaning or depth because the music is EXTREMELY well made. only tyler could make an album like this cause tyler has made such a distinct style for himself to the point where even an album without the cohesion of his past works still FEEL like an album only he can make

53 --> 70 --> 83 -> 88

well i'll be damned i've come around on this thing. this albums has had tracks i my rotation for as long as its been out and since then i've relistened in full a good 5 times and its really clicked with me. the explosive and loud performances, while also still filled with energy and vocal variety is a tough balance to keep but goddamn che does it.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
91

hey now is my 3rd most listened to song in the past year on spotify (i only made the switch a year ago in fairness)

Bladee - Gluee
87

65 --> 87

well damn, safe to say this project grew back on me. some of the best and most unique beat selection i've ever heard and the amateurish mixing and autotune usage gives this mixtape a unique sound that i dont think could ever be replicated. Gluee has this intoxicating and experimental quality to it that has simply never been replicated since.

JACKBOYS - JACKBOYS 2
37

POINT AND LAUGH AT THE PEOPLE THAT SAID THIS WOULD BE BETTER THAN THE CLIPSE ALBUM.

okay jokes aside, what happened? these dudes had so much time to make something decent so what happened? instead this is a generic trap and rage album with some of travis scotts worst songs. matter of fact? this is travis' worst project .This guy just threw whatever at the wall he could. Champain & Vacay made me think this album would be better than it was but NOPE. this shit DRAGS, its boring and has ... read more

Fred again.. - Victory Lap Two
88

Skepta and zel work surprisingly well with eachother. I need them on a track with eachother

Drake - What Did I Miss?
65

this does not excite me for iceman icl. its not a bad song at all but this doesnt feel like drake at his best or most hungry at all I just feel apathetic.

Drake - Nothing Was the Same
83

more skips than take care and IYRTITL but definitely a great album

Drake - Room for Improvement
30

so glad drake actually improved from here

Drake - Honestly, Nevermind
30

Jimmy cooks is the only song worth a damn on this album

Pusha T - It's Almost Dry
93

Fuck this album is much better than I remember it being. this is JUST shy of being as good as daytona.

Neck & wrist, just so you remember and brambleton are some of my favourite rap songs of the decade so far. that hov feature is DISGUSTING

DJ Quik - Safe + Sound
95

top 5 west coast hip hop album of all time

Pusha T - My Name Is My Name
75

different beat selection to what push picks at his best but there's a few songs that stand apart. Those songs obviously being Numbers on the boards and nosetalgia but also hold on, king push and s.n.i.t.c.h. No regrets and pain are different styles but are actually really good. every other tracks just doesnt really work for me

Pusha T - DAYTONA
100

best album of 2018, every song is a hit with some of kanyes best production and pusha still being in his prime

Toby Fox - DELTARUNE Chapters 3+4 (Original Game Soundtrack)
88

chapter 2 was where Toby production peaked so I was interested to see the direction 3+4 took...

fuck he continued the peak
fav tracks: Black Knife, its TV TIME!, TV WORLD, Need a hand!?, dark sanctuary, catswing, Hammer of justice
Least favourites: any of the tracks that are just sfx

100

its such a shame how well the lyrics on this album have aged but even if it hadn't, this album is raw, politically charged and damn near perfect. I can never decide if I prefer this album or evil empire

"Considering you liked flashout freestyle, give stunt 4 life by ezcodylee a shot. Given he already features on the original half blood you might fw it. It blends rage and punk rock perfectly in my opinion, and doesnt feel like the fake "punk" personas that carti or che have done in recent years"

"@StarLightBBX as someone who isnt a drake fan, idk why he hates in drake so strongly. I dont believe he's ever gone into any reasons he just pokes fun at him all the time. Granted its funny, but he's doint the same thing people dislike drake for. Repetitive whining"
On 𝓶𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓮𝓪's review of ezcodylee - STUNT 4 LIFE
"@dingalingaling i got it as soon as he started using the word "punk" the way he did. Being punk is being unapologetic about your politics and your opinions and che expresses absolutely none of that. Apart from the abrasive sound, there's no essense of 'punk' in anything that che does, especially in comparison to ezcodylee who has punk DNA embedded into each bit of the music"

"@redsnapper2 not at all, just because they employ distortion doesnt mean it distorts everything else, its a very clearly controlled chaos with death grips. With 2slimey it clearly trumps everything else in the instrumental and even the vocals."
On #1 MIDWXST DICKRIDER 🍆💦's review of 2slimey - times changin
"@ramonapark01 absolutely not lmao. Death grips isnt an assault on the ears with distorted 808s cranked to the max with trash lyrics and no variety in the delivery."

"@ramonapark01 death grips actually have talent. they actually pushed the envelope for the time and have substance to their writing. what does 2slimey bring to the table? I dont really hate 2slimey but death grips make coherent music, 2slimey doesnt."

On musicrater9's review of Bad Bunny - Super Bowl LX Halftime Show
"@felix_valkyria that history has no baring on the fact ice, especially as it stands right now, is a dangerous and tyrannical institution. it is wild to dismiss that fact due to the reason it exists because as it stands, innocent people are dying and its not just the sex traffickers and drug traffickers because the government that are so involved in funding ice, have also been covering up the biggest sex trafficking ring in human history. you're missing the point beyond belief. I wont deny that traffickers and other awful people have been persecuted at the hands of ICE, but as it currently stands, the way that institution is being handled as we speak is dangerous and it needs either drastically reformed, or abolished."

On PlasticTrees's review of Che - REST IN BASS: ENCORE
"@th3o you dont need video proof to believe carti beat his gf retard. Do you think thats the only valid form of proof for someone to believe someone did something? Do you think EVERYTHING is recorded or else it didnt happen? The closest we have is the footage of the interrogation and direct aftermath of him 'alledgedly' beating that pregnant woman. If you do your research you will find plenty good reasons that people believe that he did that."
On jackolson45's review of Nas - Magic 3
"As someone who likes this album a good bit more than most, magic 2 and 3 are so much less focused than magic 1. I think its because magic 2 and 3 were a lil more rushed and looser in concept as magic 1 was made in anticipation for KD3, but did something with more of an old school feel to set it apart. Magic 2 and 3 arent being made in anticipation of anything and just instead feel like throwaways from nas and hits other sessions"

On nino888's review of OsamaSon - Flex Musix
"@ChemicalRr not particularly, it can be in a lot of cases but aesthetic can be correctly used in many different ways kinda used interchangeably with vibe in a musical context but the visual aspect is often used to strengthen the aesthetic in other areas. Again to use an example, opiums visual aesthetic is used in tandom with the aesthetic they use in their music"
