Yall want a single is kinda fun if a bit korny (sorry). Opening track is pretty good and so is did my time... Okay there i said some things i like about this record. You happy now?
I dont like this album. in fact this is bottom 3 korn for me. Play me is prolly their best rapper collab but theres not a lot of competition there. Entire album feels disjointed, some of their worst writing, the mixing is awful and muddy and overall the album feels so fucking uninspired. i spoke to a dude at a ... read more
much more melodic with more of an industrial metal sound compared to their other works, pretty solid in the context of their discography but isnt an album i particularly enjoy going back to. oh and make believe is ahh
holy FUCK this is insane. okay i remember liking this album a lot but i did NOT remember it being THIS GOOD. i actually cant fathom how an album like this exists, even after already making a classic with demon days this absolute MADMAN Damon Albarn decided to fucking do it again and this time Damon takes a much larger production role proving just how multi talented he is. in fact, i'd dare say this is one of the best produced albums of all time. matter of fact, i wanna buy the CD and fuck ... read more
far from my first time listening to this, but returning to it now that talk of their new album is here. I've always said this is one of the greatest albums of all time and its a masterclass in genre blending. in my opinion this is the best thing Damon Albarn has his name on, standing above plastic beach and parklife. Damon not just provides writing, vocals and elements of production here but he serves as a curator. Bringing Danger mouse on here for a significant amount of production after ... read more
Nah. easily their best work since chocolate starfish but lets be honest, whats the competition? i really wanted to like this album once i heard that some people were actually liking it so i gave it a listen. this band, hold the applause...
still sucks. i know the peak of humour that was. See how being self aware doesnt necesserily make the content better? makes you wonder. okay lemme stop being sarcastic and actually be nice to this thing cause i think on first listen i was a lil too mean due ... read more
cant believe i havent reviewed this. Arguably top 3 deftones, but it didnt get that title instantly for me. while i liked this album it never truly clicked for me but upon revisiting, this thing has grown on me a lot more. Koi No yokan is the best they've ever done this shoegazey sound. after experimenting with it in diamond eyes and having elements of it in SNW and even white pony, they REALLY lean into it and honestly master it. each song has these heavy riffs with atmospheric effects ... read more
This album is genuinely fantastic and i wish i could say otherwise. i truly wish that the music was as bad as the person so i could simply dismiss the work and support of him entirely. to clarify, I dont regularly listen to this album. that being said, i did grow up with it as my parents were (and still are) big Marilyn Manson fans. this album is a damn classic and one of the most daring and groundbreaking of its genre, and it makes sense as to why manson was such a force to be reckoned with in ... read more
people just glaze this cause its relatively obscure. this album is nothing more than a fun piece of trivia
its ridiculous how this doesnt even have the must listen tag. I know a lot of people on here had/have a hate boner for drake and im definitely not a big fan of his bu5 this mixtape is not only his best but one of the best mixtapes of all time. every single song hits with not a single sleeper on this tracklist.
Even the band themselves overhate this record
the first half is fucking killer, the second half is still great with the exception of butchers hook, wherein lies continues and the cold black being pretty forgettable. dead memories gets stuck in my head ALL the time and is arguably my favourite out of their melodic cuts. the final 2 tracks really pick it back up
easily their best work since Vol 3 and their most inspired since then as well. It feels like they REALLY cared about this album and you can tell by the finished product.
Nero forte is a top 3 slipknot song easily but thats the obvious highlight. unsainted is one of their most unique and once again, one of their best with it. the gospel intro into the heavy fast riffs and vocals we know from slipknot is amazing, especially after their last record being so forgettable. birth of the cruel is a ... read more
uhhh...

oh sorry you caught me at a bad time. What am I doing you ask? Great question dear reader, This is me trying to think of anything interesting to say about slipknots the gray chapter.
okay maybe thats a little dismissive, for what its worth i do not hate this record at all, in fact you can see by the score that I dont. Sarcastrophy, AOV, the devil in I, the negative one and even custer are solid tracks. The rest? super forgettable. even the better tracks on here dont ... read more
The end of a fantastic 3 album run from slipknot, 'Vol 3: the subliminal verses' had much of my first exposures to slipknot. duality and before I forget were songs I grew up with as along with 'my plague', 'eyeless' and 'wait and bleed' from their previous records, it was heavy in my mums rotation. this lead to me having a natural curiosity towards metal for most of my childhood before actually getting into it at 14.
I really like this record but in my ... read more
Damn I had no idea critics were so divided on this one back in 2001.
Slipknot comes through with their sophomore album and if you were expecting more of the playful elements of slipknots self titled you are dead fucking wrong. at the end of the day its those elements that lead to me preferring their self titled record, however if you'll look at the scores you'll know its not exactly a large margin. leaning for more into the death metal aspects of their self titled album, IOWA is by ... read more
my favourite mac album (not including mixtapes), and you have no idea how much that GUTS me. Mac had so much potential and hearing this album is not only haunting but downright depressing. mac sounds so hopeful on some of this album along with the depressing stuff and in a way its simultaneously terrifying and comforting. even someone like mac who went out the way he did, who was going through the things he did was still able to keep his chin up and say "it'll be alright" is ... read more
the question of what makes Ian special is always on the mind. he either does the rage sound with nothing special to him or is just doing a boring trap sound. im sick of this dude cause he's genuinely got such a derivative flow which gives me absolutely NO reason to listen to him over any artist. lazer and nino are solid on here but tbh this song is nothing special. i recognise this review is primarily an ian rant but this track made me remember what i despise about his music.
