this album is much longer than 17 and while X fleshed out a lot of ideas and embraced much more of his pre 17 era ideas with the aggressive rapping style with improved mixing and even better rapping performances, this album is such a mixed bag. So when I heard the college dropout, it reminded me of the miseducation of lauryn hill in a lot of ways. the upbeat and youthful sounding production with the conscious style and the references to school.
