Ghost Mountain - OCTOBER COUNTRY
98

Ghost mountain is the heart of the haunted mound collective. Especially when it came to sematary, it felt like after RB3 something was missing even if i dont dislike butcher house or bloody angel. Wether that be coincidence or if those 2 things are related, the best HM projects have involved ghost mountain so having a solo project this late was suprising but incredibly pleasant considering just how great this mixtape is.

The witch house elements with the dreamy cloud rap and post punk ... read more

Quadeca - Voice Memos

Theres maybe 2 songs that are alright here but this is NOT a good album. He improved so much after this project

Tom MacDonald - Proud To Be a Problem
1

Only a 1 cause it doesnt have adam calhoun on it. The brave 1+2 might be the worst albums oat

Mach-Hommy - #RICHAXXHAITIAN

Top 5 rap albums of 2024

Sematary - RAINBOW BRIDGE 3
82

ouch, my ears.

as someone who loves loud and abrasive music this can stll be a tad too much at times. Particularly the intro, but i feel like that was there to train your ears to prepare for whats to come and it does that pretty effectively. This mixtape feels like you've been dragged down to hell ESPECIALLY in comparison to RB 1 and 2. after the intro this mixtape becomes a lot more tolerable. I love how batshit insane this album is and while i think every sematary album has something ... read more

Sematary - HAUNT-O-HOLIXXX THE MIXTAPE HOSTED BY DJ ANVIL
87

this mixtape is a tad too long but its genuinely one of sematarys best projects, easily his best since RB3. it makes me so happy that GM and sem are back to collaborating regularly because i think its made sematary lock in a lil more with his music. all the collab tracks are fire, you can bet if theres a feature on the song then its great. this mixtape feels like a celebration of everything that the haunted mound collective has accomplished.

Some genuinely fucking INSANE production. ... read more

Sematary & Ghost Mountain - GRAVE HOUSE
90

Sematary/haunted mound. you love or hate this sound but i PERSONALLY had to let it grow on me. haunted mound reapers was the first song i genuinely liked and it was mainly cause it became a vocal stim. over time i got more accustomed to the "weirder" side of hip hop starting with me becoming a drain gang fan, which gave me a new appreciation for music like sematarys'. the cloud rap x drill blend is super unique and this is one of the best sem projects

Lyrical Lemonade - All Is Yellow
45

theres plenty tracks worth listening to, but this is very much another DJ khaled type album

Kodak Black - Just Getting Started
48

Kodak has never dropped a good album. but he has dropped good songs and he kinda keep that streak up here

YoungBoy Never Broke Again - MASA
29

I will never get the YB hype

DJ Khaled - Major Key
58

Khaleds best project. Kinds falls apart in the middle but those first 5 tracks had me HYPED as fuck. 2 legends with Nas and hov both spitting fire verses and the whole big 3 + big sean. The drake track is a banger, jermaines interlude is fantastic but the best track is EASILY holy key. Big sean kills his verse delivering one of my favourite big sean verses from this era but kendrick STILL kills him. Respectfully of course cause this is one of my favourite kendrick features. I love kendricks new ... read more

Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

We will never get an album like this ever again

Nas - Untitled
73

Nas' most overlooked project. I think this is really overhated but not exactly a highlight of nas' career

JAY-Z - The Blueprint 2: The Gift & the Curse
68

Juat listen to the blueprint 2.1

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU
92

My favourite album of 2024

JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version)
100

The best experimental hip hop album of all time

Rick Ross - Stay Schemin'
100

Drakes best feature verse ever

The Clash - Cut the Crap
19

this is sad coming from a band with 2 of the greatest rock albums of all time with london calling and self titled. ouch

Big L - Harlem's Finest: Return Of The King
81

the first 7 tracks are fantastic and beyond that it gets solid but being fr? i dont see myself listening to a lot of these like i do on Lifestylez or the big picture. I wish when it came to some of these freestyles they just used the original audio and nowhere do i feel that more than the 7 minute freestyle. the track is still great as ever but the beat being remade kinda put me off given the low quality of the audio recording. but that still does NOT mean that these are bad cause i still dont ... read more

Foo Fighters - Asking For A Friend
78

Song is good but it doesnt have the same passion their last record had. I have such a soft spot for this band that this just being classic foo fighters is good enough for me

"Considering you liked flashout freestyle, give stunt 4 life by ezcodylee a shot. Given he already features on the original half blood you might fw it. It blends rage and punk rock perfectly in my opinion, and doesnt feel like the fake "punk" personas that carti or che have done in recent years"

"@StarLightBBX as someone who isnt a drake fan, idk why he hates in drake so strongly. I dont believe he's ever gone into any reasons he just pokes fun at him all the time. Granted its funny, but he's doint the same thing people dislike drake for. Repetitive whining"
On 𝓶𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓮𝓪's review of ezcodylee - STUNT 4 LIFE
"@dingalingaling i got it as soon as he started using the word "punk" the way he did. Being punk is being unapologetic about your politics and your opinions and che expresses absolutely none of that. Apart from the abrasive sound, there's no essense of 'punk' in anything that che does, especially in comparison to ezcodylee who has punk DNA embedded into each bit of the music"

"@redsnapper2 not at all, just because they employ distortion doesnt mean it distorts everything else, its a very clearly controlled chaos with death grips. With 2slimey it clearly trumps everything else in the instrumental and even the vocals."
On #1 MIDWXST DICKRIDER 🍆💦's review of 2slimey - times changin
"@ramonapark01 absolutely not lmao. Death grips isnt an assault on the ears with distorted 808s cranked to the max with trash lyrics and no variety in the delivery."

"@ramonapark01 death grips actually have talent. they actually pushed the envelope for the time and have substance to their writing. what does 2slimey bring to the table? I dont really hate 2slimey but death grips make coherent music, 2slimey doesnt."

"@felix_valkyria that history has no baring on the fact ice, especially as it stands right now, is a dangerous and tyrannical institution. it is wild to dismiss that fact due to the reason it exists because as it stands, innocent people are dying and its not just the sex traffickers and drug traffickers because the government that are so involved in funding ice, have also been covering up the biggest sex trafficking ring in human history. you're missing the point beyond belief. I wont deny that traffickers and other awful people have been persecuted at the hands of ICE, but as it currently stands, the way that institution is being handled as we speak is dangerous and it needs either drastically reformed, or abolished."

On PlasticTrees's review of Che - REST IN BASS: ENCORE
"@th3o you dont need video proof to believe carti beat his gf retard. Do you think thats the only valid form of proof for someone to believe someone did something? Do you think EVERYTHING is recorded or else it didnt happen? The closest we have is the footage of the interrogation and direct aftermath of him 'alledgedly' beating that pregnant woman. If you do your research you will find plenty good reasons that people believe that he did that."
On jackolson45's review of Nas - Magic 3
"As someone who likes this album a good bit more than most, magic 2 and 3 are so much less focused than magic 1. I think its because magic 2 and 3 were a lil more rushed and looser in concept as magic 1 was made in anticipation for KD3, but did something with more of an old school feel to set it apart. Magic 2 and 3 arent being made in anticipation of anything and just instead feel like throwaways from nas and hits other sessions"

"@ChemicalRr not particularly, it can be in a lot of cases but aesthetic can be correctly used in many different ways kinda used interchangeably with vibe in a musical context but the visual aspect is often used to strengthen the aesthetic in other areas. Again to use an example, opiums visual aesthetic is used in tandom with the aesthetic they use in their music"
