maybe I’m being too harsh and not giving it enough of a chance but this just feels like a big load of nothing to me. I love TDE and hope to see it make a comeback and thrive but man this is not helping their case
Took a bit to get used to the new style of mixing done by Matt but once it settled in with me I was able to see that this is an overall pretty solid series of tracks. While lacking the quirks or boldness of previous albums, this still does a good job of being a series of quality songs put together
A lot of amazing sounds and ideas, with some of the most carefully crafted production I’ve heard in recent time. This extreme emphasis on enormous, grand production can be a bit of a hinderance at times, as sometimes it’s throws too much out there at once or he just can’t keep up vocally. I do really hope he can improve his vocal ability, I couldn’t help but wonder throughout listening to this what each song would sound like being performed by stronger vocalists. I do ... read more
Definitely inconsistent but I don’t think the lows are as low as they’re being made out to be
Starts off strong, but quickly descends downhill quite a bit. Has some experimental moments for Taylor Swift standards, for better or for worse. Has some questionable moments, some unequivocally boring moments, and a few actual highlights
Uh oh I forgot to care about mixing quality and accidentally enjoyed the album oopsie 😬😬
Has a couple highlights but really lacks direction and has some frustratingly middle of the road and forgettable tracks. He has so much potential but I don’t feel like this project shows the half of it. Really hoping he keeps working hard and finds the sound that works best for him

Dude WHY
DaBaby is capable of rapping well, we’ve seen it on Under The Sun, Intro, and hell even that Dua Lipa feature is really fun to listen to. Those aren’t flukes either, bro is just choosing to make the least engaging songs imaginable on this album. Certain aspects of this hint at the fact that he’s trying to go down a silly quirky not-so-serious route like the use of xylophones and other weird instruments in the production but then he doesn’t follow through with it ... read more
This is an overall solid, well put together, and confident album from one of the most highly held rappers alive right now. However, I can’t help but feel that naming it after his debut mixtape 1999 puts it at an immediate disadvantage. When 1999 was recorded a decade ago, 17 year old Joey was arguably at his most hungry with the most to prove. Now with an established and coveted rap career, Joey is showing that he’s made it and is living the good life. While fitting as the logical ... read more
From an objective standpoint, this album is top tier. However it is not at all something I would listen to again. Hear me out.
I listed to the album with little knowledge going into it after only hearing a couple of their previous songs, neither of which appealed to me very much. When listening to Hellfire, I was immediately able to recognize the insanely high quality of the production, but that’s about all. I knew how highly praised it was and decided to do some digging and found out the ... read more
Stumbled on this by accident and just had to add it to the site. It is a true anomaly. 1-2 minute rap songs with titles of a completely random pop culture things with lyrics that vaguely resemble the title or just don’t at all. “Minecraft” talks about magic swords and magnifying glasses as if they’re a pivotal part of the game and “Hello Kitty” starts with the Sega jingle despite the character having no affiliation with the company and the only existing Hello ... read more
I’ve been on a quest for something to get me more into country for like 3 years now and this finally did it for me. Peck really reminds me of a modern Johnny Cash. His voice makes my undies wet
What the fuck
This is so bad but so absurd and funny I am thoroughly entertained

Ain’t no way bruh. Who is behind this and why’d they make it like a coming out training montage
I heard praise about Tom in a comment somewhere and decided to check out a few of his top songs. To be perfectly honest, I didn’t like most of what I heard. The first few tracks were from his older projects and they reminded me of those mediocre TikTok artists who post stuff like “I accidentally made the song of the summer??!” But then I got to FWM2 and it immediately sounded much more creative and mature, and inspired me to check out the rest of the album. Tom definitely has ... read more
I like a fair share of Korn classics but I haven’t heard any of their new stuff until this. It’s fine, just fine. But considering this is their 14th album I can’t help but question what their gameplan is. They didn’t lean into any of their quirky gimmicks nor did they show any growth or maturity. This just sorta exists, and that’s it. Undies dry
Fair enough, feels like a MME outtake. Nothing wrong with it but I get why it wouldn’t be on the album
