Interpol - Our Love to Admire
80

After the success of "Antics" Interpol would go through one of the most difficult moments they had as a band and that tense feeling would create this masterpiece and to many their last great album, but what seemed to be a recovery ended up breaking up the band. This album still feels like an authentic Interpol release and in my opinion it stands as their second best, since it's so relevant thanks to the impressive amount of hits this one has like: No I In Threesome, Rest My Chemistry ... read more

Interpol - Antics
70

"Antics" is a beautiful example of contrast in music: While "Turn On The Bright Lights" feels very claustrophobic and depressive, "Antics" changes the mood into a more optimistic sounding project that won a big mainstream audience with some hits like: Slow Hands, Narc, C'mere and the well known "Evil". After listening to their debut countless times, it felt right to continue their discography with this one and honestly, I was completely disappointed at ... read more

Los Jaivas - Alturas de Machu Pichu
90

Deftones - Ohms
70

"Ohms" is the weirdest album that Deftones has ever put out, it's experimental in a way that it feels way to abrasive for the music to flow correctly. It has some inconsistencies and shallow moments, but regardless from that I still like this album a fair lot. Apparently this LP has been very divisive since it's release. Some praise the new sound of this album, others critique the band not going into much of a different direction, and that's pretty unique, cause an opinion on a record ... read more

Limp Bizkit - Significant Other
50

One of the most controversial bands of all time that represented a commercial nu-metal act that would reach it's peak popularity led by bands like Slipknot, Limp Bizkit and Korn. Limp Bizkit's way of making music was unique at the time, but a certain frontman would ruin the whole image of the group. Fred Durst basically does nothing, but rap some of the worst lyrics out there with a bland message that promoted violence and many other polarizing stuff that would gain so much hate against the ... read more

Los Tres - La sangre en el cuerpo
90

One of the most important albums from the 90's, that's right, I'm talking about Rage Against The Machine's debut album. This project is a powerful experience filled with a lot of adrenaline and bad-ass riffs, but also covered by incredible lyricism by one of the best front mans of all time: "Zack De La Rocha". This band displayed a unique way to play rap metal and they even formed it into a new sound that seemed to capture the essence of the bands energy and way of playing, which made ... read more

Deftones - Gore
50

As a Deftones stan I was one of those guys that would defend the band when criticism against Gore appeared, cause I used to think that this one was actually pretty decent and worth listening to, but after analyzing it after listening to their past records this one ends up being nothing but an absolute disappointment. It isn't bad, don't get me wrong, the band still experiments with a lot of crazy stuff and new sounds, but a level of inconsistency ends up destroying the reputation of this thing ... read more

Congreso - Congreso
100

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
70

Kanye West is one of the most polarizing rappers of all time. MBDTF is such a acclaimed project that listeners can connect with, and I really used to connect with this thing a lot, but honestly I've lost almost completely all the love I had for this thing. Each time I listen to this one again and again I expect to like it again, but I just start recognizing more and more flaws in between what should be an excellent album with no flaws. But frankly this one has grown off me and that has been my ... read more

Deftones - Koi No Yokan
80

Through out Deftones career these guys have altered their sound into many different genres that have made them sound so unique in the alt metal scene, they've covered sounds like nu metal, shoegaze, electronic, alt metal, etc. And Koi No Yokan feels like a blend of all of their sounds into a single project. Unlike "Diamond Eyes" that would return to their original roots, the perception of this LP is more fresh for the bands world, with even more experimentations that has a more ... read more

Interpol - Interpol
60

In 2010 Interpol released their self titled record, and surprise! Nobody liked it. Following the absence of their bassist Carlos after he left the band the same year (correct me if I'm wrong). The fact that he left generated a very tense and disjointed feeling in the band that would reflect in the music form and structure of this album, and especially in the cover: A fractured title that shows how separate were each member from each other.

Deftones - Diamond Eyes
80

"Diamond Eyes" used to be my favorite Deftones record, but through time I've grown to appreciate other classic albums like "Around The Fur" and "White Pony" more than this LP. But my love for this album hasn't decreased, I still think it's a banger and has a lot of most played tracks by them like: Diamond Eyes, Prince, Sextape and 976-EVIL. But on this review I will try to be more critical to this thing, cause I overhyped it a lot over the course of my life.

One of the most collapsed moments for Deftones was between 2005 and 2007, and right in the middle of that tuff process this album came out. "Saturday Night Wrist" is a versatile, creative and re-inventive project for the band, it incorporated a more shoegaze sound that was beloved by many fans (mostly teenagers tho). It showed a more vulnerable side to Deftones way of music.

The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
80

Yeah, I'm actually doing this. I had this review planned for when this day came, but this review won't be a joke and obviously there's no disrespect intended to the close one's of the Queen Elizabeth II. But yeah weirdly I had this planned for this important succession that has happened. Rest In Peace Queen.

Well, now actually getting into this review... The Smiths is a band I've never really been a big fan of, I respect a lot of the material they have put out, but most of the albums they ... read more

Deftones - White Pony

Continuing with the Deftones discog dive we finally get to their most emblematic and important release to date... White Pony! An album filled with most of their most consistent material to date and many hits that have popularized the band. While this one isn't my favorite, it stands high in terms of quality.

Ana Tijoux - Vengo
70
