Joy Division - An Ideal for Living

Good... but not really Joy Division.

Warning - Watching From a Distance

Not every day I blaze through an artist's entire discog in one day.

Excited to see what they do now that they're back together; fantastic shit

The Band - The Band
90

thank you, The Band, for inventing music as a concept.

Geordie Greep - The New Sound
100

dude.

duuuuude.

Motorbike->As if Waltz->The Magician might genuinely be the best run I've ever seen

Yes - Relayer

Yes. A thousand times Yes.

Quite spacey with some pretty dark subject matter. I absolutely love the direction they went here, having the production be more grimy and dirty. Definite personal preference but I've always preferred this more dirty sound in music. Probably the best Yes album so far (triple whammy of 10/10 records is fucking insane).

black midi - Hellfire

I can't believe Jesus called me a diiiiick!

black midi - Cavalcade
90

also very energetic

if i had a shot every time the time signature shifted i think my liver would undergo false vacuum decay

black midi - Schlagenheim
90

holy intensity batman
i mean it starts of energetic and never loses it, that's pretty impressive

Suicide - Suicide
85

if it wasn't for the absolutely killer basslines i'd have probably wet myself several times listening to this

Iron Maiden - Powerslave
100

i see eddie bought 'imself a pro'er'y in egypt

Renaissance - Scheherazade and Other Stories
100

genuinely how is it possible that something this beautiful exists

Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind
95

#FreeEddie. He ain't done nothing

David Bowie - The Man Who Sold the World
85

the spiders from mars get a lot to do on this album which i can always appreciate.

"gimme a drink bar'endah" ass cover

RIP Jason. Wish more country could be similar to this. You really deserved better recognition than you got

Dead Kennedys - Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death
100

TLDR: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS THE MOST PSYCHOTIC RANT I THINK I'VE EVER PUT DOWN.

Firstly, actual review.

Fantastic compilation, some of their best material, whether live or studio, is on here. I do prefer the studio versions of California Über Alles and Holiday in Cambodia but they both still hit pretty hard. It does get a bit weaker towards the end but that's a fairly minor complaint, I still think it works. Pull My Strings is probably the best punk song ever written.

Nirvana - In Utero

RIP Kurt.

Sincerely one of the best to ever do it.

"I love you mommy-" *decends into the pits of tartarus*

You have no clue how good it feels to see 100% next to their list of albums dude, jesus christ what a journey this was
