really solid first effort, love the part where their pianist just randomly starts playing literal beethoven (i'm not kidding it's like an actual beethoven piece)
final song is a little too out there for my taste though, kinda feels like they were trying to do moonchild but kinda missed the spaciness that makes it work so much

the title of track 8 is a good way to summarize this whole album
that split second right before part 3 descends into the heaviest doom metal segment is a level of tense anticipation that builds up in a single fucking second better than any horror movie i've ever seen.
this song/album is scary. it's horrifying. it's harrowing. it's exhilarating. it's beautiful. i think i felt every emotion conceivable in that split second of silence.
and yeah i've officially decided doom metal is the best genre of metal lol
