A$AP Rocky - TESTING
81

(I nearly didn't finish my A$AP Rocky relistening session before DBD came out oh god) LIKE 3.5 HOURS TILL DON'T BE DUMB

Grew on me a lot. The experimentation is consistently interesting, and I'd say this is actually Rocky's most interesting album (Not a backhanded compliment at all). The balance between hard bangers and more calm and introspective tracks is pretty good too!

A$AP Mob - Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy
72

ONE DAY TILL DON'T BE DUMB

Not as good as the first Cozy Tapes overall, just because there's quite a lot of bloat on here. Too long and not lyrical enough to keep my attention. But What Happens is one of the best rap songs of the 2010s decade, and I will die on that hill. Legitimately the NY Avengers Endgame.

A$AP Mob - Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends

ONE DAY UNTIL DON'T BE DUMB

Good album, and quite overhated in my opinion. It's very fun and chill, but I guess maybe people expected an album with more of a concept? I don't know. I didn't go in with those expectations at all, and so I had a fun time listening.

A$AP Rocky - AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP
83

2 DAYS TILL DON'T BE DUMB

The highs are some of A$AP Rocky's best songs and even some of the best songs of the decade; the lows are just okay. Rocky is an experimental genius, and some of it isn't for me, but he's a genius.

A$AP Rocky - LONG.LIVE.A$AP (Deluxe)
84

(yep, still) THREE DAYS TILL DON'T BE DUMB

A little bit worse, to be honest, I don't love any of the deluxe tracks besides Angels; that Imogen Heap sample will forever be iconic.

A$AP Rocky - LONG.LIVE.A$AP
86

(still) THREE DAYS TILL DON'T BE DUMB

Wow, even though it only grew on me a little, I think I appreciate this album a lot more now. It really feels like Rocky experimenting a lot more and getting a lot deeper into emotional songs and lyrical songs, which I love to see next to his comparatively shallow previous mixtape.

THREE DAYS TILL DON'T BE DUMB

Relisten and my score actually went down...but it's still great. The highs definitely outweigh the lows.

Little Simz - Lotus
88

ALL MY HOMES HATE INFLO!!!1!! Another wonderful album from Little Simz, and this one is probably her most emotional one yet. The last four tracks, all individually, could make me cry; it's insane. And that outro of the title track is probably my favorite Little Simz moment ever. Even so, there are still some fun, energetic, and upbeat songs to balance out, which are all good as well.

Little Simz - NO THANK YOU
90

Little Simz continues to impress me with the incredibly impressive lyrical talent displayed on her songs, as well as the equally amazing beautiful outros and choruses that literally make me float.

Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert
90

Masterpiece. Even if it's not my favorite album, it's certainly one of the best.

Isaiah Rashad - The House Is Burning [homies begged]
79

Solid deluxe tracks, I like it a little more than the original.

Isaiah Rashad - The House Is Burning
79

Good project, but I'm just really not a fan of some of the choices here. The production is incredible, and the features always steal the show, but Isaiah's mumbly vocals are pretty annoying at times.

Isaiah Rashad - The Sun's Tirade
83

Just a very nice, chill vibe. Smooth production, relaxed vocals, and a lot less intense than his last album. I think it makes it more boring from the perspective of someone who definitely prefers more intense rap music, but it's still a great listen.

Isaiah Rashad - Cilvia Demo
85

Isaiah's ability to rap about very difficult topics so, for lack of a better word, casually, is very impressive and refreshing. Aside from that, the instrumentals aren't incredibly unique, but they fit the mostly low-key vibe. Despite that, some of my favorite moments on the album are when Isaiah raps more intensely.

ScHoolboy Q - Blank Face LP
85

Too long and boring by tHe end, because most of tHe Highs are in tHe first Half of tHe album. I did enjoy it a lot overall, but it's so bloated tHat I can't say I enjoyed it more tHan Oxymoron.

ScHoolboy Q - Oxymoron (Deluxe)
85

Solid deluxe tracks, a bit better but still almost tHe same rating, so I'm not gonna give an in-deptH review.

ScHoolboy Q - Oxymoron
84

Very solid, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't Have a lot of standout tracks, especially compared to albums from otHer members of Black Hippy. I dislike comparing artists just as mucH as tHe next person, but it's painfully obvious to me tHat I like Kendrick and Ab-Soul quite a bit more tHan Q, overall.

ScHoolboy Q - Habits & Contradictions
76

Inconsistent and pretty boring. I expected more from Q, Honestly, especially after How good Control System was.

Ab-Soul - Do What Thou Wilt.
84

This is the most feminist album I've ever heard, and it wasn't even made by a woman.
