An incredibly dark and abstract EP that perfectly encapsulates hopelessness.
"solace" is a short, 10-minute, one-track EP from Earl Sweatshirt that he made during a very low point in his life. Earl's vocal performance and flow here is very clumsy which works incredibly well for the sound of this project. The instrumentals here are lo-fi, jazzy, and sometimes distorted, and they perfectly fit the tone of the project. My favorite aspect of this EP though is the lyricism, which is dark, ... read more
Different vibe from a lot of the stuff on Trench, but still maintains a similar tone. Really incredible instrumental, though I'm still not the hugest on the vocals personally. The production and soundscape here is so stunning and immersive. Overall, huge fan of this track, and I'm looking forward to the album.
An incredible mixtape full of interesting ideas from Quadeca. This is already a strong contender for my favorite project of the year.
Quadeca has quickly risen to the top as one of my favorite artists after the release of his incredible concept album "I Didn't Mean To Haunt You", however, I was unsure if he'd be able to keep this streak going with his next project. Thankfully, I am happy to say that I shouldn't have doubted him because "SCRAPYARD" is yet another amazing ... read more
"Vultures 1" was actually released, surprisingly... Unsurprisingly, it's boring as hell and puts the final nail in the coffin of Kanye's musical career for me. I don't think this guy will ever make a truly great album again since he seems more focused on just releasing uncreative trap songs that are about his terrible ideology.
Just like "Donda 2", this album is mostly just unfinished demos that simply sound decent, but are nothing special in their incomplete state.

The first project from 2024 I've reviewed!
"the death and birth of an angel" is a very well-made EP. The production is great, and the instrumentation is really good too. I love the breakcore elements placed throughout this project and I think they add dynamic and detail to the songs.
That being said though, I wasn't huge on the vocals throughout this EP, since they just kind of feel a bit out of place here, but they might just not be my style. I also find some songs, especially ... read more
A beautifully haunting listen.
Wasn't sure what to expect going into "An empty bliss beyond this World", but I'd heard some parts of "Everywhere at the End of Time", so I knew I was in for something melancholic. But I wasn't expecting this to be as nice and beautiful as it was. I was expecting this to be much more disturbing and broken-sounding, but it was actually very peaceful and calm. As I'm sure most people at this point know, this album is meant to represent someone ... read more
We makin' it off the sex offender list with this one!
Yeah the mixing is really bad on this, and is lyrically awful. The spoken word segment is so pointless and literally adds nothing to the song. This sucks.
I've always found this song to be a bit overhyped, mainly because the production just isn't all that good, it's way too flat-sounding for me personally. That being said though, the song is very cute, catchy, and fun. I just don't think it's anything that great, and this band has way better stuff.
Decent 7/10
Probably my favorite EP of all time. A great look into what would be Time 'n' Place, Kero Kero Bonito's dark and whimsical masterpiece. Every song on here is really good; "The One True Path" is dark, melodic, and has a very strange atmosphere that not many other songs replicate for me. "Only Acting" is a strange, glitchy, eerie, and kind of terrifying rock song. It's the only song from Time 'n' Place on this EP, and while I do think that song works better with the context of ... read more
I've never played Bugsnax, but damn this track is a Kero Kero Banger! This is easily the best advertisement they could've possibly made for this game! This song is so fun. The vocal performance from Sarah is excellent here, the instrumental is so delightful, and the production is really smooth and good. Love this song.
Light 9/10
One of my personal favorite Chemical Brothers songs. Fun, excellently produced, weird. I love it.
Light 9/10
Meh. Don't care for this at all. Just a boring drawn-out pop song. Was expecting better honestly based on all the positive reception this has gotten, but to me, it's just another boring Ariana song.
Strong 4/10
Funny that this song made people as mad as they are. Based on what Christians were saying, I was expecting Lil Nas X to start burning crosses and yell "FUCK CHRISTIANITY", but this is really just goofy and harmless. Anyways, the song is pretty fun but nothing special. Don't care for the verses, but I can't lie, that chorus is a banger and very catchy.
Light 7/10
Nothing incredible here by any means, but it's a fun Tyler Christmas album, I don't know why people dislike this as much as they do, it's not amazing, but it's just fun. You haters are just a bunch of Grinch's!
I like some of the instrumentals here, especially on tracks like Lights On. Still, unfortunately, I think some of the vocal performances can be a bit mediocre and sometimes a bit annoying, and the mixing is a bit rough. This is nowhere near Tyler's best work, but I still enjoy the vibe ... read more
This is pretty damn great. While the first two SCRAPYARD's had some pretty great ideas and songs, I didn't think they were as fleshed-out as they could be. But I don't really have that issue here with SCRAPYARD III. All these tracks feel like fully fleshed-out ideas.
The first track, EVEN IF I TRIED, is beautiful and I love the soundscape of it. The second track, EASIER, is gorgeous, melancholy, and lo-fi. The final track, GUESS WHO?, is a peculiar rap track. Lyrically, the track seems like a ... read more
A lot weirder and more experimental compared to the first SCRAPYARD. Very good stuff here, and I think these songs would be truly incredible if they were a bit more fleshed out.
DUSTCUTTER is a weird banger, but very well-produced and fun. UNDER MY SKIN is actually beautiful and I love Quadeca's vocal performance on it, definitely the best of the three tracks here. I MAKE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS is also pretty decent, but it isn't nearly as interesting as the previous tracks and definitely sounds ... read more
Don't think I'd count this as an EP myself, but this site does! Anyways, pretty fun and creative stuff from Quadeca here, and this could be really great if expanded into a full project, but what we got here is pretty well-produced and musically nice.

FAVORITE TRACK: A LA CARTE
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: U DON'T KNOW ME LIKE THAT
FINAL RATING: Decent 8/10

A fine Christmas track from Def Leppard, but really doesn't do anything all that interesting. Pretty bland and forgettable, but that's sadly to be expected from this band at this point. Also, why was this released in October?
Light 5/10
Rest in peace, Kai Wesener.
I first heard of Today I Laid Down a few months ago, and I listened to the first track which was so pleasant sounding and comforting. After hearing the first track, I decided that I should fully listen to it, but never actually got around to doing so until Brad uploaded his video on this EP which reminded me of it. I watched the start of Brad's video and found out about Kai's tragic passing, and when returning to this EP, the first track, "Good Morning ... read more
