Lady Gaga - The Fame

The first four songs are absolutely iconic which was my main draw to this album. The problem for me was the complete loss of momentum behind the remaining tracks which gives this project a C/C+ at best. If, somehow, Paparazzi's magic could have been extended into the entire project this would be the greatest pop album of its decade.

Lil Uzi Vert - Pink Tape

Nothing sounded bad (except for CS) but nothing was memorable either. I enjoyed Fire Alarm a lot and the doodoo bar on Rehab was funny. Nicki showing up and giving maga a booty definition was cool too. idk, I'd give them a C if this were an exam.

Felt like i was trappin out the Nintendo 64.
Also, ending the album with Codeine Crazy was such a power move. Best listened to starting and finishing on that song imo

Dreamgirl - Illuminaughty
85

Extremely cute and sweet sounding. The type of music to make you remember your first love

Lana Del Rey - Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd
NR

I listened to the first few songs and felt related to cause she kept name dropping locations but it felt like one long song interrupted by rap i did not want to hear. I LOVE the song titled after the album though
Edit: Deleted rating and will revisit when I know more of her music

No Vacation - Intermission
85

Short and sweet and I keep coming back for the start to finish listen

Charlotte Day Wilson - CDW

Her voice is just something different altogether.

Fishmans - LONG SEASON

accordion got me floating

Returning almost a year or maybe longer later to reflect on the moments of time I will never forget. The joy of students, the explosion of springtime, the beauty of patience and the grace of human aging

JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES
83

Sometimes you couldnt hear Danny but other than that its really good.

BrokenTeeth - 편지 [The Letters]
100

This is my first perfect score of the year and I will not take any argument against it

100 gecs - 10,000 gecs

Frog on the floor is by far my favorite song on this project. The 26 minute run time is perfect and it kept me interested and never lingered.

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo
87

Starts so strong and stays strong

Slowdive - Slowdive
82

Kept me interested and into it from start to finish. Lovely

Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest
89

Two Weeks has been on too many of my autoplays for the intro piano to do anything but trigger my fight or flight but the rest of the album is fantastic.

Paramore - This Is Why
61

I kept thinking of other bands that did what each song attempted but better. It wasn't anything I hated but I certainly couldn't get past the bare feeling I had and urge to turn another album on when I got reminded of something else I enjoyed.

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
81

Starts and ends strong

Little Joy - Little Joy
90

So so good. Nothing beats simple, enjoyable stuff from a group with great cohesion.
Favorite: tie between The Next Time Around and For No Ones Better Sake

Lil Yachty - Let's Start Here.

My jaw was through the floor from the start, absolutely incredible.
Drawback could come from the songs having very similar instrumentals throughout, otherwise I was entertained and enjoying the whole project. B to B+
