first two tracks are absolutely flawless, and then the album dips into artsy fartsy absurdity, with the exceptions of Don't Call Me Pain and We Are Time

total trash but will probably sweep the Grammys

update: not as bad as i initially thought, but good lord this thing is boring. Fuh You is abominable, but the final song was actually pretty good. the rest is completely forgettable. the most 5/10 album of the year so far

i really wish i liked this a lot more, really, but it honestly felt like someone tried to create Uncle Meat 2.0, but with a post-apocalyptic twist. as much as i love tape music and experimental music, this just felt like an endurance test to sit through. maybe with repeated listens i’ll warm up to it, but for now i don’t see the hype at all.
