Every single track on this thing wants to rip your head off and stomp it into the pavement. Disgustingly grimy production that makes the already abrasive, screeching guitars sound like homicidal machinery out of a liveleak video. A pure “jamming with the guys” album.
A short burst of primal rage and teenage angst captured on a brutal 9 minute album. A primitive and amateur, yet unbelievably raw record that I’ve listened to countless times and enjoy more on each listen. I’m going to break the wheel of my shitbox suv one day slamming it along to the drums on this thing.
It’s a vtuber doing a Cupcakke cover lol
This shit sounds like a horny text-to-speech program. This shit sounds like it would be in the trailer for an early-access hentai clicker game. This shit sounds like you’d hear it while walking past a community college anime club. This shit sounds like something a high schooler with a receding hairline would play while sitting alone at lunch. This shit soun
This album sounds like it’s made by a band that Lars would try to sue for ripping off Metallica
Overkill does this thing where every few years they release a mid to decent thrash record.
Throughout the record I felt this prevailing sense of dejavu. I’ve heard this album before. “Twist of the Wick” and “Won’t be Comin Back” end up being Ozzie and Dio b-sides played at a slightly higher BPM. Goofy ballads like “Fever” and the uninspired “Know Her Name” bore me to the core. The lyrics on this projects, such as those heard on ... read more
Abusercore
The “seperate art from the artist” album of the 2010s
Lame
Generic pop-punk metalcore, filled to the brim with cliches, tired old tropes, and far too many mid-song breakdowns. 2/3 of the tracks sound the exact same, everything sounds relatively sterile and safe, and there is zero deviation from the easycore formula.
Now let me be clear: I really don’t hate this record. Over the years, it has definitely cemented its spot as a guilty pleasure album for me. NJ Legion Iced Tea and If It Means A Lot To You are two of my most replayed tracks ever. ... read more
Half the songs on here are demented noisy punk rock and the other half are sludge metal before sludge metal existed. Every track is heavy, raw, and some are even danceable. Sex Bomb is a personal favorite track of mine. Great stuff, a punk rock classic.
GORILLAZ - DEMONDICE
I don't care for any of the tracks here aside from Feel Good Inc. and November has come.
Woah they made an album about England? And it sucks as much as England does? Holy crap!!
What a lifeless mess. Zero personality, not a drop of inspiration or originality to any of the tracks here. Any third-rate bandcamp project could pump out something better than this.
Makes me want to revisit all of Gorillaz old stuff so I can remind myself that this project was awful from the beginning.
FAV TRACK(s): Cracker Island
WORST TRACK(s): it goes downhill from there
I am pleasantly surprised. Some filler sure, but some gems (Leave Me Like This, Rumble, Supersonic, and XENA, the standout) kept me around.
EDIT: 89->90
Overall my favorite Peggy project. Very edgy but in a fun way. Love the bars on this thing.
80 -> 93
This album is turning into one of my absolute favorite metal records. Nonstop aggression for 40 minutes straight. Starved Lives has been my absolute favorite song for quite some time now. Great record, cannot recommend it enough.
Aside from a few bangers it’s just okay honestly
I know this is heresy but it’s just an alright metal album
