Tyler, the Creator never settles - image, sound, entrepreneurship - always perfectly curated through an outrageously sharp mindset that somehow never manages to take itself too seriously. On IGOR, Tyler takes his grandiosity to new heights. From start to finish, the album plays like a cinematic explosion of “what-is-happening-right-now?!” ideas. James Blake, no longer conflicted or opaque, presents clarity like he never has before. Stuffed with show-stealing features, major chord progressions, and a conscious departure from his famously abstract vocals, Blake largely succeeds at his newly evolved sound. On Malibu, Paak doesn't overcome the "sophomore slump", he obliterates it. Anderson Paak's second album is grounded through impeccable production and intelligent lyrics, all linked through his now iconic vocals. From start to finish, Malibu plays like the greatest hits album of an artist who has likely yet to show us the best to come.

In Lost in the Dream, Adam Granduciel leans heavily on former inspirations while becoming one for this generation's alt-rock. Lost in the Dream is an sonic masterpiece jam packed with such earnest emotion, it's hard to doubt a single track.
