I listened to this while taking the dog for a walk. It's a pleasant and fun album, with gentle rhythm. There's not much to criticise, it's a solid good. It kept me interested and maintained my attention, but it doesn't do enough to reach the top scores in my opinion.
"When you understand how rich and vibrant the explanation of Mt. Eerie is, and what it means to be placed at the center of the universe, this album obtains its true beauty."
No.
You shouldn't need to read an explanation to understand an album's true beauty. It should be evident from listening to it. If you need accompanying notes then it's not a good album.
Some sounds were executed well, with a couple of nice moments like the end of the first track and the little ... read more
The album cover is giving me strong David Hockney vibes. Away from music a moment, Hockney's art is wonderful. I went to the Hockney Exhibition recently at Salford Quays and I love the swimming pool prints. They give me the most wonderful summer holiday feeling.
As for this album, this is nice and relaxing but for me it doesn't have any distinguishing qualities to justify a higher score. It's not the kind of album I'd be enthusiastic to listen to again but it's equally ... read more
The guitar work on this album is out of this world. It's incredibly sophisticated, classy and mature with beautiful depth and complexity. The rhythm is just right, it's pretty, delicate and slow but then but builds, blooms and is never boring despite it being slow. The vocals, the female voice in particular is excellent. The bloke's voice is good too. A truly excellent album.
I know this is rated well but nah, it's garbage.
Nothing happens the whole time other than two or three times when Giles finally plays a bit of music, which was okay but so infrequent as to annoy rather than tease.
Otherwise, it's nondescript. Snoozefest.
This is fantastic. The short, twinkly/twangy notes are very pretty, it's nice to relax to, then every so often the music goes lower and just explodes into some of the most entertaining music I've listened to. Less than 1000 reviews is an injustice, this should be way more popular.
Also, while I was driving home listening to this someone else I was driving home next to pulled up at the traffic lights in their Tesla and I saw they were listening to a Drake mix. To be honest I felt less ... read more
At last I thought, our first top-notch 2026 album. WRONG!
An interesting depth on the synth production but crucially, no rhythm. No nothing.
Rubbish vocals. Nothing interesting happens, it's too dense, the tracks too long and the music too slow.
Like watching paint dry. Sorry
Disciplined song writing, consistent sound, and acceptably brief. Be the Cowboy does not attempt too much to impress and in that, it has succeeded.
This was already unbearable, then dogs started barking on a track which set my dog off too and he hasn't stopped for nearly twenty minutes. You couldn't pay me to listen to this again.
Album belongs in The Hague. Chaos.
More like a well-marketed charity match than a serious league game.
Calm and sophisticated with smooth production and warm grooves. Even if the hour is a little long, it's a strong vibe throughout. A genuinely uplifting listen. I liked it a lot.
Clever and well-made, but it didn't land emotionally the way my favourite albums do. It lacked a little feeling and didn't stand out, although it was pleasant enough.
A fun and catchy album with a calm, honest feel to it. The lyrics were powerful yet subtle at the same time. Just a really enjoyable, calm, mature listen that worked perfectly - recommend!
If there's one thing I've embraced recently, it's understanding of how much our nervous system does not benefit at all from technology.
Turn off Instagram. Turn off all notifications. Put your phone on do not disturb. You do not need it.
Tidy your house. Give yourself space to enjoy the slower things without being constantly distracted.
I never would have been able to enjoy this album properly before. It didn't hit the dopamine hard enough. Get yourself in the right ... read more
Unmaginable.
Kids are exhausting but count all your blessings that you are parenting together.
Life is precious.
This has more variety than my other favourites from A Tribe Called Quest. A terrific send off for a terrific group.
Good direction but never likely to be foreground music. Probably really good, ambient background music.
Quality was a bit up and down but overall some really good moments and melody.
