Okay hear me out, this record kinda reminds me of Slint with the more subtle spoken word parts mixed with the heavier post-hardcore base sound, Dead Kennedys with the upfront punk aesthetics, attitude and lyrical content, and the lead singer of Death / some other equivalent band screaming over all of it? This might just be a 'me' thing, but good god does this record weirdly nosedive after track 8. Like I was really with it at first, the immediate sound and frantic vocals, it was making me do the "headbang", as the youth call it. Fuck it, this is my favorite Peggy album. I see the vision now. 'LP OFFLINE' is still excellent, but this is more so. Conceptually beautiful, challenging in the best way, featuring his greatest production efforts to date. From the interludes to the heavy hitters, no expense was spared during this whatsoever. "Rap Grow Old & Die x No Child Left Behind" is his best song imo

Too many low points here to consider this better than Amnesiac, but with that said, the first three songs and the climactic finale "A Wolf at the Door" outshine the best on that previous record imo.

While not lacking in creative moments and Aes' trademark flare, it's probably my least favorite of his recent releases. It's certainly less consistent than his previous record I loved so much, which truth be told, I kinda expected ever since I heard the singles for this thing.
