Rebecca Black just made a FUCKING BARNBURNER, didn't expect that!
I didn't even know there were singles, god I feel out of touch but DAMN this shit smacks like a motherfucker. Never would have guessed that the "Friday" girl made a project that (IN MY VERY HUMBLE AND JUST STRAIGHT UP WRONG PERSONAL OPINION) is like FUCKING BETTER THAN BRAT???!??!? Like it cut the fat at least, that 21 minute length scared me since I thought this would just be a nothing burther. But THIS SHIT ... read more
generational shit right here. this year's gonna be the peak of music istg
More fully formed than their last album by a country mile, the first half bangs and the second half explodes in a fantastic fury that caught me off guard tbh.
No pressure or anything, but..... album?!?!?!?!???!?!??!:??!?!??!?!?!??!?!?asdf,nmwerh8o3i54t jbvnhkefj srmjyhKJWMD, NLBSREUAHZ5TGSSUI;H/qfALitgfahl.LKLH;EG/;KL,RJNRH
Devastatingly sad stuff.
I knew that I was probably gonna spill some waterworks to this, but MAN did I underestimate the beautifully sad plights on display throughout, and by the end I felt some serious shit. I'll probably need another listen just to take it all in, but for now I can't emphasize enough how beautiful this is, and how tragic Ryan's passing was. I wish I could have known and appreciated his work when he was alive, but alas it wasn't meant to be.
A VEERRRYYY different experience from "Pink Flag" thats find Wire frantically switching styles on their sophomore release, and it completley works in their favor. It's such a well-textured punk album, so much so that considering it "punk" and punk alone may be doing it a disservice, 'cuz certain songs on here radiate more of a post punk, indie rock, and even a gothic rock style at times, all of which work wonderfully in supplying this album with a unique and ... read more
Short but sweet, kicks some serious ass and perfectly fits the bill of the idealized definition of "rock music" laying dorman within my caveman brain. And don't get me started on how influential and enduring this shit is - it sounds just as great now as it did in 19-fucking-70. What a mind-boggling revelation reading that release date was!
Fuck it, sure it's probably too long for its own good and has a couple bad parts and lyrics here and there, but I am honestly too enamored with the majority of this album to care. It's definitely something I wouldn't expect many to vibe with whatsoever, but it scratches the weirdest itch for me that nothing else has come close to scratching, with the ever-infamous combination of Lou Reed's vocals paired with some great backing from Metallica resulting in this odd contrast ... read more
jfc this makes the voidz' last album seem like a brisk walk in the park
(Edit: it's not as bad as that record, still close tho)
Drake has supplied us with an aimless, unlistenable mess of moody drivel in album form, after an extended abscence from dropping a full-length project last year due to a various amount of "unforseen events" that I'm not event gonna bring up, because this shitshow really speaks for itself, and I don't want to muddy up messages here: even ... read more
Shit, what do I even say that hasn't been said already? The tears speak for themselves, man.
Well, I guess hearing "Dead forever" beforehand got my hopes up a bit too high. This record from Jane Remover's "venturing" project seemed a tad lacking in the punch that usually comes with her trademark sound, favoring for a more fuzzy and played out shoegaze direction that got a tad old by the record's end. Fortunately, I still had my fun with "Ghostholding" and its fair share of bangers to dig into, and I'm defeinitely excited to see what ... read more
A song made specifically for me, it seems. Exquisite stuff right here, can't wait for the album!
Horribly boring and trite water torture, that I will promptly forget I had experienced by the end of today. "How can something be so incredibly painful and boring and equal measure?" Well Starship clearly has the answer locked down, and it involves the worst trends of 80s rock jumbled up into an indigestible package of nothing. Also fuck "We Built This City", I never liked that song, even if it's a masterpiece compared to the rest of this thing. Just avoid for your own ... read more
shit got me crying laughing so didn't expect that
still ass tho π₯π₯π₯
This scratches the right itch for me. I can definitley see someone not resonating with the odd mixing choices on here, namely on the transitions from the lows to highs on something like "Comfortable Place on the Couch", but it doesn't bother me too much. I just really enjoy the solid noise rock foundation, and the twists and turns it puts you though from front to back. It's a pretty mystifying journey through the band's restless anger in uncertain times, and their ... read more
