(hahaha get it) But seriously, eh. It's really good and I see why the majority of ppl like it, but it feels duller than the other albums. I'm gonna call it the Jack Antinoff effect and I'm waiting for when Matty and George inevitably get bored of this and drop some wack ass music again.
Damn I rly didnt think i liked this album more than the others but i just looked at the tracklist and i was wrong this one's pretty perfect too.
It's so ahead of it's time that you probably hated it the one time you listened to it and you haven't relistened because its actually a million tracks long. But this shit is deadass my favorite album of 2020 which is in some tough competition.
ok updated my rating but its not a 100 bc of 2 things.
1- im an okc glazer
2- faust arp is a skip
reason why i changed it 95->98: jigsaw is not only their best song, but maybe the best song of all time holy balls
Objectively, this is the greatest album ever written. A lot of my other favorite albums lean heavily on my emotional connection to them, but even if I didn't have strong feelings associated with this album (which I do), It's still a fucking perfect album. What can you say about OKC that hasn't been beaten to death- "Paranoid Android, Let Down, No Surprises, and The Tourist are some of the greatest songs of all time" like omg shut up we know.
It's the final product of all rock music ... read more
My actual favorite album of all time, and if you know me you know that's been true since I was 16 and will be until the day I die. I have listened to this album front to back well over 200 times and it has never once gotten old. Title and Registration is my most listened to song of all time and has been in my Spotify top 5 songs for the past 5 years, yet I STILL find myself listening to it at least once a week. I just saw Death Cab (/Postal Service) for their 20th anniversary tour for ... read more
This is psychotic and I am semi-aware of that, but I'd truly love for someone to convince me that Famous Prophets (Stars) ISN'T the actual greatest song of all time. So good I don't really know how to describe it, but I can't think of one moment that doesn't feel like the most monumental piece of music I've ever heard. Anyways, shoutout to that gay furry for making an album so good it's laughable.
Pretty fucking hard to beat in my opinion. I. LOVE. This album. It's so timeless and replayable and is the most non-controversially amazing album ever. I'm so serious, think of someone under the age of 30 who has any dislike towards this album. Even if they have disinterest, put on Money Trees or Swimming Pools and that goes away real quick. i pray my dick get as big as the eifel tower :pppp
It's crazy that a 92 is probably low-balling, but I am aware that I'm low-balling this. I have no criticisms whatsoever, obviously. This album is perfect and a contender for the best of all time. The only reason I'm personally docking points is that I think GKMC is slightly better, and I find myself listening to it far more often that TPAB.
I really like Damn, and I think the main problem with it's reception to the public is that it's impossible not to compare it to the rest of Kendrick's discography. If this were any other rapper this would be their magnum opus.
This album is perfect and I don't have much else to say about it. Isaac, hope you're doing well buddy.
Such a beautiful and truly unique project. I don't know if I have any other albums I can compare this to because it's so singular, which is very impressive for an album that came out in 2021.
It's become a little basic to say that you love Phoebe Bridgers but every time I listen to Punisher again I'm reminded that she's probably the best solo artist releasing music today. She is the only artist I can think of that doesn't have a SINGLE bad song. Not one. Sometimes I think a song is my least favorite on this project and then I hear it in the context of the album and it's so evident that everything Phoebe touches is a joy and a privilege to listen to.
It's MIND BOGGLING that this album holds up so well. From the huge hits to the deep cuts, every song feels like an essential of the mid 2000s music era in the best way possible. Mama and Sleep are two of the best songs of all time.
As someone who is not a fan of Travis Scott as a person, unfortunately this album is great. The highlight of the project is easily the production that stays incredibly strong throughout the huge variety of instrumentals, but the rapping from Travis is really solid too. All of the features feel natural and are written and performed well. I genuinely thought Drake's verse was compelling and good, which is something I haven't thought in recent memory.
Really great rock album that feels like Paramore's sound has matured with them, and the result is very impressive. The band feels like they're getting more focus in the mix and song structure, and they are amazing as always. There's a few songs that aren't personal favorites, but nothing anywhere close to a bad track.
Almost completely perfect. Every song is exceptional and both of them have amazing performances on this project. The only reason its not a 100 is the mixing on Danny's vocals at certain points; I would've liked to hear him come through the mix a little more.
I think its really hard for the three of them to make something even close to mediocre, so this is obviously really good. But I do have to say I prefer the ep over the album in a big way. There's nothing on this album that hits the same highs as Salt in the Wound, Me and My Dog, or Stay Down in my opinion. But anyways its still pretty damn good.
