This album, while unfinished, somehow manages to shine, because although the sound quality and some of the concepts fall flat, the songwriting is impeccable. For an album that exists only, essentially, in writing, this is the best written Weezer album. You can tell that most of this became Pinkerton, but this feels vastly more interesting.
