Man I liked this first listen, its grown off me so much. Ill say this, the first half is great I love the way she adresses everuthing lyricially, the sounds great, I like the openess about her being lesbian here , but after wildflower it goes do downhill. billies writing and the production just all get worse for me, her voice sounds really processed and I hate it, she hits really weird inflections i cant get behind like on the start of L'amour De Ma Vie. "The greatest" has something ... read more
New drake songs really horny!
Man im not even excited for the fall off anymore, might delete later was mid, he was transphobic on pi, homophobic on this song, and hes kinda just sounding like drake
Boring. I don't think the production worked like it did on volume 1. Like hard knock life, I know a lot of people love that song, Jays sliding, but i cant get over that sample. Jay cant really make a "bad" song because his voice and flow is so amazing, but he makes some really boring ones here. Basicially everything after "coming of age" is extremely boting. Bloated album with a few moments but I could care less about it existing
52->56 was hating a little
Brown Sugar, D'angelo was an artist ive only heard good things about, and I got an urge to check him out so I did and I thought it was amazing.
D'angelo has a really soothing and strong voice, that hits melodies but still feels really earnest. Hes also got underrated writing, like i love how "shit, damn, motherfucker" talks about cheating in a really strong and interesting way. The backing vocals like on "alright" really make suppott his voice feel uplifting.

I mean its not great, but its cool saying a reggae hit in the 2020's
Lyricially its pretty solid and its interesting seeing reggae use obvious autotune.
Vocal preformance just aint their yet, but im really rooting for this artist
Not bad for darkie eh, just kinda a lil basic, cornily written, but fun pop rap song. I wont listen again but it wasnt too bad.
Pretty well written well sung, really good chemistry between ila and h. e.r. i dont know this artist but joey was in the music video so I checked it out, happy with it.
Also idk if it interpolates it or what, but it opens like the exact same way as "love is only a feeling" but slower
Lil short ep but its hit me so hard, really emotional and powerful knowing context. Juice was so talented.
This kinda an odd project
Its instrumentals sound more "expensive" and "manufactured" than reasonable doubt and i was worried i wouldnt like it much at the start because of that, and in parts, it did hurt the authentecity, but im happy that overall it didnt ruin it for me.
this project has some of jays best songs; Friend or Foe 98' is an amazing storytelling cut, Lucky me has an amazing luscious beat and has multiple quotables.
Speaking of quotables hollly i heard so many ... read more
Idfk how to review pop so here we go.
Bey pretty early on, she doesnt really have the aura of later beyonce yet, and idk if she really knows who she wants to be artisticily yet, at least beys still pretty strong vocally.
But mannnn is it pretty corny . The way vocals are layered on songs like naughty girl feels so of its time and it did not age well. Instrumentals just dont sound good.
Beyonce writing is pretty noticeably underdeveloped here honestly and I think lacks a true identity.

Jays got this really cool factor that not many other besides him and biggie have were their words just always have so much weight. Jays got a perfect rapping voice, and hes really good at stretching his tone and delivery, he'll always sound funny and self aware, or cool, or whatever hes going for. He just has a way with his words that feels so natural and demanding. Hes also stretches out words for rhymes in a really well executed way. Jay-Z's super great lyricially but youre never gonna think ... read more
The Perfect Capstone to Radiohead. This really represents everything radiohead was their whole career. Its also their most melancholic album, but I think that the logical conclusion to radioheads story? I felt more emotion to this album than I have any of their projects.
The writing is great as always, and really personal, but the vocals are so so so great here. The vocal climaxes on songs like identikit really pull this things greatness. It feels so urgent yet melancholic yet encompassing. ... read more
I mean he said it in the title, presents a lot of cool ideas, do i think he executed on them? ehhhhh...
Like the approach on a song like Fukk Sleep, that one is really cool.
It features a prison verse from kodak which idk how to feel about supporting kodak, but ig kodak got freed so it did what it wanted to do.
Rocky really leans into his Dr Seuss tendancies so much here lmfao. Like praise the lord is a banger but that songs literally like llamallamachallengeCore.(look up "glorilla llama ... read more
Listen it doesnt sound bad but.
Wheres the identity, this doesnt feel like radiohead. It doesnt take me on an adventure, the vocals dont ascend me; while not bad, it felt kinda like another band coulda made it.
Vocals and the overall energy didnt interest me enough, seemed a little complacent. The vocals really do work on lotus flower, which is an amazing song but the rest left me a little uninterested
Instrumentals felt a little less adventurous then the rest of their project and a little more ... read more
Man this album disappointed me.
Before i get started I say, Jukebox Joints might be his best song and the highs are really good.
The production felt a lot less interesting, or just actually bad in spots. way worse than the last 2 projects, and beats felt a lil boring to me
Asap rockys preformances felt less dynamic, didnt really set a vibe as well as I needed it to. the features didnt have as much natural chemistry, a lot of the verses just missed.
Now its not bad, Rockys still got a p good ... read more
I like rockys personality more here, his pen also got way more in depth. Sadly I think he lost a lil of the relaxing wonder and just effortless coolness on live.love, it felt a lil too calculated for the vibe he was going for, but it makes up for it in other areas. Production is more varied, which makes a few pitfalls and overall less consistant, but a lot if it works really well.
dont love all the features but 90% of them are great.
The peans are so high they make up for the slight pitfalls ... read more
The first half of this album honestly competes with radioheads best, the second half is a little less impressive but its still great
"a wolf at the door" is also such a crazy song coming from radiohead but it closes off the album so perfectly, I didnt expect them to go so hard I loved that song so muchhh.
Radioheads always leaves me stumped in what to say in my reviews because they are always just so air tight, like it never sounds bad, your always just picking at little things, but ... read more
