This album is neither as good as the critics think nor as bad as this site's backlash to it is.
Sad when I don't like something that's very clearly good as much as the masses do. But I just don't see myself revisiting this :(
I don't think any of his albums re-invent the wheel, but he's one of the most consistent folk artists out there
I wish I liked this more. And while I think it's well made, I don't see myself revisiting it too much, unfortunately
Another solid effort from Gunn. I feel he's been on somewhat of an upward trajectory with his recent works.
Trying to figure out why albums like To Be Kind and Have One on Me Work and then this and the Big Day didn't. My gosh there are 27 songs. It's so oversaturated. I think some of the gospel songs are ok, but it just keeps going and going, and it's just not really that interesting even at its high points
*whispers* I kinda like it? It's not the banger record we may hope for but it's chill and I think the acoustics complement Lorde's voice well
The Dave conundrum: incredible lyrics but somewhat bland production and delivery.
The appalachian folk music tag was a bit of a stretch. I see the appeal, but not for me!
Welp. I definitely fuck with downtempo Billie. Shocked by how much I liked this one
