Why do I feel like I already heard this album this year? What am I thinking of?

Yeah Imma side with the critics here. There's just an energy to this album that keeps me coming back. A little inconsistent, but some awesome moments

Ok so this site seems less hot on this album than their previous works, but this comes so much closer to what I'd hoped we'd get out of the Staves some day. Production is much improved and it allows for a much richer sound. Far less boring than their previous works and their best work to date IMO

Honestly think this is one of the best instrumental folk albums I've heard in years

You never want your favorite song on an album to be a cover, but when it's a Joni cover featuring Weyes Blood I'll cut you some slack. This record is pretty good, but I think the higher pitched vocals Lana uses throughout don't suit her as well. Well produced though, and potential to be a grower

Haven't listened yet but for the love of God, critics, stop calling Taylor Swift "Indie." The word is meaningless if it's given to literally the biggest pop star in America
