Actually like this more than I anticipated. It's the most consistent record from the Wilcoverse in quite some time IMO
This one's really nice too. I should listen to more instrumental folk...
Something about this record, but I connect with it in a way I really haven't with previous solo stuff from Adrienne or even Big Thief stuff. Really beautiful record. Simple and lovely
ugh I wish I liked it and all of clipping. more. They have moments and songs, but I can't fully connect with any of their records, even though I appreciate it's good
Been putting off listening to this for a while, and now I remember why. Everything they've done since their debut has been so bad
Nice bounce back effort from Kevin after a pretty terrible album a few years ago
This thing is kinda all over the place, and kinda to a fault I think tries to do too much. That said, the second half is fantastic, and adds enough eclectic flare to make a very promising debut.
If you like the rest of their stuff you'll probably be cool with it. I'ts fine, but doesn't reinvent the wheel
This is the protest album I was kinda hoping we'd see this year. I'm not sure it's fair to call it that, because more than that it's an expression of self. It's amazing. Hope it is more widely reviewed. Excited to go back and listen to the rest of their stuff.
I don't know when this album went on apple music, but it wasn't for a while so I finally listened for the first time. It's very good!
Just not what I listen to Sufjan for. But I'm sure it's what others are looking for
I think it's their best effort in a while, tbh, but I'll probably never play it willingly all the way through. Pleasant. Fades to the background
Shit I actually liked this one, and I haven't been super into them in the past. Every song is so damn catchy
So Fleet Foxes are one of my top 3 artists ever, along with Joanna & Nick Drake. So it pains me to write that I found this kinda boring. Gone are the lush harmonies of their first two albums. Gone are the experimental folk moments of their last two. Instead, we're left with a pretty boring, lush, but still pleasant folk rock record.
Some boring moments, and I could do without interludes bragging about him, but his flow is pretty good. Solid record
A new Doves album was quite a surprise to see! And while it's no "Last Broadcast" it's got some of their classic sound with ethereal, quick hooks and interesting progressions. A welcome return!
