I wanted to like this because JoJo was one of my first celebrity crushes and Baby It's You still rocks, but this is pretty inauthentic and very much an Ariana impersonation. Some of the slower songs are ok though
Just because it's got his classic sound doesn't mean it has the same appeal. Feels rushed
I kinda have a love/hate with Quelle Chris but damn this thing is fantastic. Really consistent from start to finish
More skits than I'd like, but got that old timey sound with some great features
First half is perfection but it kinda trickles out with some of the slower songs
I think I'd rather have seen pitchfork give the 10 to the Idler Wheel, which was a better album. But since they can only give a 10 at the beginning of the decade to set some imaginary standard, I'll settle for this. It's still really fucking good. May revise up as I dig into the lyrics

It's fine, but feels overproduced. Gonna go listen to Bows + Arrows now
Justice for Laura Marling, the consistent, reliable, but somehow perennially underrated folkster. Another solid record
Dua Lipa continues her ascension into one of the best modern pop stars around.
