EDIT: Listening back to it, I see the ideas it brought more clearly now and how it is influential to the hip hop landscape. Still think the album has some songs, which I feel like could be felshed out more and it still feels like a bit of a slog to listen through front to back. I think the best way to sum this record up is that Patek is still the best thing that came out of this collaboration.
The expectations for this album weren't even that high even though it theoretically had all the right parts to be one of the better trap records this year. Benny and Hit-Boy come through with beautiful production, stellar lyricism and topical focus on this album, which makes this one of the best hip-hop records of this year imo as of right now.

I don't think that it's adequate for me to rate this album, since I'm not acquainted with the discography of the microphones and can therefore not really feel nostalgic about the microphones.
